I gotta say…with the whole bounty thing and how the Saints have reacted since…they have officially replaced the Pack as my least favorite team in the NFL. And that’s saying a lot.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still hate the Pack when we play each other (we are, after all, rivals) and root for other teams to beat them. However, at least when they offered $500 to the defense to keep AP from gaining more than 2 yards in a game and the league found out and told them to stop they…wait for it…STOPPED! What a freaking concept!! For that I give the Pack organization props, and no one in the world knows how hard that is for me to do.

The Saints organization on the other hand lies and denies, lies and denies, lies and denies. Then they cry like babies when the proverbial sh*t hits the fan. Now Payton, who is NOT thinking of the team, the fans, or NOLA, but only of himself, is being allowed to handpick his temp replacement so he can just walz in next year to pick up where he left off because the dumbsh*t of an owner doesn’t have the brass cajones to fire his a$$.

The Saints organization reeks of the putrid swamps that surround it.

If true, the fact that the in-house candidates told the media this, says to me Sean Payton is right to bring Parcells in!

No one in NO wants Payton to leave, if in-house candidates want to leave then leave! I am not a big Parcells fan, but at same time if I were Payton, I am not going to hand over the keys to the castle to someone who may undermine me and have designs on my job.

Payton, built this team and guided it, and will probably even be helping a lot during the season under the table, he cant afford to have people he cant fully trust. And its clear if this story is true, he cant trust some of his staff already. Get on board, on get f*** off.

Isn’t the more likely scenario Benson gives Carmichael (can’t ‘reward’ Spags for failing at STL) a shot to run the team so 2012 turns into Carmichael’s audition for the next round of vacancies? An OC-to-HC interim promotion wouldn’t upset the rank-and-file and, if the Saints/Carmichael succeed, Carmichael would surely get other offers while Payton returns. Coordinator attrition to HC gigs is simply part of the NFL game.

I’m always suspicious of these anonymous inside sources who claim what the writer himself wants to say. In reality, both Charmichael and Spagnuolo will coordinate the offense and defense fine, but will they still do so if they also have to pay attention to other things? The real issue may be that Goodell has a personal vendetta against Sean and the Saints, and is trying to give them no chance to win another Superbowl. I can see why the fans would be mad at “unbiased” sports writers who don’t see the obvious discrimination.

Here is the problem with this entire piece.
It was stated very early, by multiple sources throughout the NFL and Saints organization, that the assistant coaches had “no desire to be the interim head coach” so that they could concentrate on their particular specialty during this year.
So how exactly is THIS STORY relevant? Other than going completely against what has already been reported and trying to stir the pot for personal ratings and gain??
Mike you should be ashamed of yourself for continually trying to brow beat the public into submission in regards to forming their own opinion about this entire fiasco that the NFL has conjured up.
I would love to read the emails between you and Goodell, because you MUST be on his payroll.

As the source explained it, the thinking is that Parcells would simply run the press conferences and decide whether to go for it on fourth down, with Carmichael in charge of the offense and Spagnuolo in charge of the defense. If that’s all Parcells would be doing, why do the Saints need him?
