Someone broke my window last night. My neighbors said it was aliens from outer space. I asked several neighbors and that’s what they all said. The aliens also admitted to it and the press says they admitted to it as well. Therefore, by Goodells’ logic, I should levy a year long suspension on aliens and fine anybody that helped the aliens break my window. I was thinking the same thing. That’s why there should be a 3 man board or something other than 1 man deciding the fate of another. I think ego becomes a factor. If he decides to lessen the suspension, then he probably thinks he was wrong the first time, and you know Goodell don’t want to admit he made a mistake. I personally think it was too much of a punishment, & I can’t stand the Saints. But it is useless to appeal your case to the same man that decided on it already. For Goodell to lessen it, in his mind its saying he was wrong, & Goodell’s personality won’t allow it…sad..

It is a legal manuver to buy a few more days with the team before it starts, and it will be a very short delay with the appeal being heard tomorrow.
No it will not double or take away any SB wins, its a process available through the Appeals Process Procedure. If they have a procedure, surely they won’t condem you or increase punishment for using part of the system which is made available for such an event.
No it is not lack of respect or nervy, as I said its expected to be used – so why not use it. He knows he’s guilty, he accepted full responsibility, this is not evading that responssibility – its called legal smarts. Too bad people in here don’t have the same smarts with the childish remarks. But then again when you are fearful of the Saints coming back to beat your team because of their talent- guess you practice wishful thinking.
