Tyrell Johnson visits the Dolphins

The Dolphins have announced that a pair of free agents have visited the team.  In addition to linebacker Rocky McIntosh, whose visit was previously reported, the Dolphins disclosed that safety Tyrell Johnson visited the team.

Johnson is an unrestricted free agent.  He never fulfilled the expectations that made him a second-round pick of the Vikings in 2008.

Johnson appeared in 11 games with three starts in 2008.

The team says the visits occurred on Monday; the Palm Beach Post reported that McIntosh visited on Sunday.

This dude have 5 chances to for sure interceptions in his career and dropped them all. He is not a playmaker or a solid player. Maybe he will do better but 99% chance that he will suck.

That noise you hear is Tom Brady, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Mark Sanchez licking their chops.

have the Fins had such a bad off season that they are now trying to sign players to get even worse? This guy has never amounted to anything with the Vikes. His play is down right attrocious.

Miami is a very nice place to vacation this time of year. I just wouldn’t count on the Dolphins to offer these two stiffs a job though!

These guys are obviously desperate for work. This is why Ireland likes to build through the draft: those players have to become Dolphins. Unless they sit out a year.

Buyer Beware!! Johnson isn’t good in coverage, isn’t a big hitter, is stiff in the hips, bad reacting to a double move, not very fast, doesn’t have good ball skills, and is coming off a severe leg injury. There is a reason he isn’t in Minnesota and their secondary was horrid last year.

Sweet next step gettin rid of Asher Allen!!

Ah yes, the last of the Brad Childress “trump cards” where Childress overruled the then Director of Player Personel, Rick Speilman, on a draft pick. The other major one was Tavaris Jackson. Oh and Childress preventing the organization from keeping any other QB’s (see Tyler Thigpen, Sage Rosenfels, Brad Johnson and Gus Ferrotte.)

you know you are bad when you are picking up a vikings DB leftover. seriously, Tyrell is terrible at just about everything that makes a safety good. consider for a second Miami, how bad the vikings secondary was last year. now consider the fact that he barely saw snaps even when everyone started going down with injuries.

Is it a rule that teams have to announce when free agents visit a team? Just wondering why anyone would announce something like this unless they were forced to by a NFL Rule.

Just what we need another defensive bleeping free agent. Last time I looked we had trouble scoring points I think, we were 4th in the league with our d…thank god the Marlins are starting play we’d.
Thanks Ireland another decade of misery.
