Right! But, it won’t happen cuz the drug companies and alcohol industry dictate public policy in this area and they don’t want their profits undercut by grow-your-own, cheap marijuana. That is true, my friend got convicted of a white collar crime, did 30 days, in jail, and it’s been almost a year and he can’t get a job, not even packing groceries, because of his conviction. Good old USA.

The Bengals fans who are paying attention realize the funniest part of the article was the line: “Simpson is coming off a solid season”.

Simpson will forever be known for that amazing flip into the endzone and rightly so. However, that flip has to be taken into context of his overall season of multiple dropped passes at critical moments, stopping short in his routes, not playing to the ball in the air (waiting instead of pursuing), etc., etc., etc. At one point, he had the lowest reception rate for targeted wr’s in the NFL this season.

I agree that Simpson is a gifted athlete. Some of his catches are awe inspiring, but he’s equally frustrating when he consistently fails at the routine pass reception.

The comments here are so moronic. Jerome Simpson is a world class athlete. You are not. Get over it.

He will get hired because he can run amazingly fast and can catch a football better than other people who want his job.

You will not get hired because there are a bunch of other morons just like you that can do your job that haven’t been convicted of a crime.

He will not get a lighter sentence by virtue of the fact that he is an NFL player. To say so is ignorant.

Only 60 days in jail?! seriously? I would bet anyone that eventually he’ll get caught for the same thing if not something similar. The point of jail is to reform people to Make them learn what they did wrong, and for a felony charge that’s just a slap on the wrist. Wish I was famous and do whatever the heck I want

No denying the man is talented! If you can sign him on the cheap and have clauses that negates his contract if he gets in trouble again I don’t see why a team won’t sign him.

Its like a free option. Smart move by the Rams, but they wont be alone. You would think the Dolphins should have a look as well, but they just got rid of Marshall for his troubles, so there is no chances they look to Simpson. He is as good as some of the rcvers that signed 4yr 20mm deals recently. Chicago can have a look, but they just lost the drug kingpin Sam Hurd, so they wont look.

Jets, Texans, Ravens should all take a look at this kid, if he can be had on the cheap! Dont even worry about 4 game suspension.

The “…moron that has pot delivered to his house..” is not a real criminal…obviously. In fact, J. Simpson did not have it (pot) delivered to his house. A family member that lived with him did. The Kentucky law, unjustly, punishes the homeowner for drug activities…even if there is no evidence that the owner was involved. The NFL should Not support such a pathetic legality by adding an additional punishment to Simpson. What seems to be avoided by need for criminal sensationalism and stereo-type attitudes, is that Jerome Simpson does a very large amount of volunteer/community work. He is a hard working and humble individual. He gave shelter to family members who did something foolish.

So of I have 8 lbs of weed in my home with scales and drug paraphernalia the max I’ll do is around 60 days? Sign me up. Oh wait you have to be in the nfl to get one of these deals like how some don’t even spend a day in jail for killing someone.
