Kirby Wilson visits Steelers

Nearly three months ago, Steelers running backs coach Kirby Wilson was severely burned in a house fire.  After a lengthy hospital stay, which included a medically-induced coma, Wilson visited the team for the first time on Wednesday, according to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Bouchette writes that coach Mike Tomlin expects Wilson to return to his job at some point this year.

It’s widely believed that Wilson would have replaced Bruce Arians as the team’s offensive coordinator but for the injuries, which happened two days before the team’s playoff loss in Denver.

Wilson was burned on 40-to-50 percent of his body.  We wish him well as he continues his recovery, and we hope he returns to work as soon as possible.
