His head was too big or he felt like he deserved to play for a real franchise. A winning franchise! We havent had a problem with him over here. Except for him making the usualy pro bowl, being an all pro, being the best left tackle in the league. Good pick up for us!!!!

I am an Eagles fan too, but I am defending a solid move that even has an out clause after this year. Of course the focus is this year because after it Vick might not even be our qb, but if bell plays well and he and peters are simultaneously healthy, we can have a very good oline for a few years to come

Nice work on the revisionist history, fnslidevick. 1. I don’t see where Bills fans are hating on D-Bell. He is what he is… a former 7th round draft project pick that performed like one. Bills fans are not underselling him. The guy has also been a part-timer thanks to injuries. And 2. Peters wasn’t just tossed away by the Bills because they don’t recognize talent. In 2008, he held out of OTA’s, and the entire pre-season because he wanted the Bills to tear up his contract and pay him like Walter Jones. (Dude was lucky the Bills took a chance on him as an undrafted free agent TE and had Coach McNally work with him!) By the time he showed up for the season, he was out of shape and was pathetic on the field. He forced their hand into a trade, so please spare me the Bills don’t know how to keep their players.

Hey dude, obviously you have no clue what you’re even talking about. Not a surprise. Jason peters head was so big towards the end of his tenure in buffalo I’m surprised it fit through double doors. He was already hating it in buffalo and showed signs of not wanting to be retained so the brass got something out of him, which in turn is actually Eric wood, who is one of the top third centers. You see how many people the bills lost?? Roscoe Parrish and demetress bell. Dunce.

As a bills fan this sucks, two players who the bills developed and finally get good show no loyalty and move on. I understand peters more cause juaron sucked, but chan and nix could of drafted tackles high each year instead of ridin the ship with bell who showed no promise under juaron. Then just bounce? Kudos for takin an opportunity, that’s a nice contact. I’m just butt hurt. #fantalk

And what should we do with the left guard we just signed for 5 years?

Good for Eagles fans for being excited about a new FA signing, but you’re expectations that D-Bell is an elite tackle are wayyyy off base. Take it from a Bills fan, when healthy, he is nothing more than an average tackle without dynamic footwork and little spring off the LOS. We thank him for trying in his few years in Buffalo, but there’s a reason he wasn’t offered the kind of money he thinks he’s worth – the Bills still saw LT as a glaring hole even with him there and are ready to move on. He would have been backing up pick #10 this season had he re-signed. Good luck, D-Bell.
