What a great signing – we know how great Belichick is in coaching up washed up has-been’s — I mean look at his success with Ochocinco and Haynesworth!!

With Carpenter in the fold, the Pats are sure to all be dancing half naked with Gronk at one of their famous “Super Bowl loss” parties in the near future.

The Super Bowl…. That’s the annual game where Jets fans get to watch two legitimate teams play for a championship after the annual guarantee that this year will be different.

Get over yourselves Pats fans, not everything you do is “great”. Heck, it is the very end of FA. No such thing as a good signing now because even if he came to work for free ( veteran league min.) he takes a place on the 53 man and even for Special Teams unless he is an “ace” serves no purpose and prevents a Draft guy or forces him to a Developmental Squad.

He was a great LB at tOSU. He has never received coaching from a great DC in his NFL career. I am sure he will be another Mike Vrabel with the Pats.

Carpenter has size, speed, and instincts, he has just not been taught technique thus far.

If he were not “just another white LB” ya’ll would say he’s a solid vet pickup ala Andre Carter. But he’s white so ya’ll just disrepect him like crazy.

I hope Bobby kicks ass this season and makes ya’ll look stupid.

On his pic-6 INT return against Dallas, Bobby Carpenter was a man who refuse to be denied. That was one of the most fun moments of the season. He played that whole game with a chip on his shoulder – a man on a mission. It was really cool. I was excited he was a Lion.

I was hoping he’d play every week like that guy who made a fool of the Cowboys, but unfortunately it didn’t happen. By the end of the year I remember feeling like he was missing a lot of plays I expected him to make.

I hope things go well for him in New England. I’m glad the Pats fans are happy to welcome him to their team. Hopefully you play the Cowboys this year.

The Patriots had to replace their entire defense, minus Wilfork. You can’t go down to Target and pick up a Seymour, Bruschi, Vrabel and a Rodney. It’s a young defense, but a work in progress hindered by thin depth .

It’s nice to see them getting back to their roots. Besides, last year alone there were 30 other teams with bigger defensive names who would have loved to play in the Super Bowl but didn’t play as well as the Patriots no-name defense down the stretch.

Can’t be worse, appears to be far better. Solid signing.
