Getty ImagesThe Seattle Seahawks have closed out the week by adding three players. The team has announced the acquisition of guard Deuce Lutui and linebacker Barrett Ruud, and the return of cornerback Roy Lewis.
Lutui, who played for Seahawks coach Pete Carroll at USC and who spent all six of his NFL seasons with the Cardinals, became a reserve in 2011, with 15 appearances and no starts. He had been a full-time starter for four full seasons.
Ruud arrives after playing one season in Tennessee, which followed six with the Buccaneers. A groin injury limited him to nine games (all starts) in 2011.
Lewis re-signs with the Seahawks after four NFL seasons. He spent his rookie year of 2008 with the Steelers and the last three in Seattle. Lewis has one career start.

I like the Ruud signing, especially after they lost Hawthorne… Good pickup for the Hawks.
Mark this one down guys. THREE players were signed to the Seahawks and not ONE of them is a former MN Viking.
They got their coach from college. They got their uniform style from a college and their fan nickname came from college. Amateur.
Depth, Depth and more Depth.
Three signings that don’t seem that exciting on the surface, but not many people were that excited last offseason with the signings of Brandon Browner, Anthony Hargrove or Paul McQuistan, and they all seemed to be pretty solid.
I like Ruud. I think the guy can ball, he just has to stay healthy.
Deuce Lutui MUST get with the nutritionist and LIVE in the weight room this off season………………
I like Rudd but everyone else looks like reserves
Looking forward to hearing contract details…….Hopefully, this is depth and not high dollar signings.
Pete and Schneider are back at it. PC.has a way of bringing out the best in players. Not only picking is he picking up starters, but plenty of depth. Hes filling holes. Im excited go hawks!!
Isn’t that ray Lewis little brother?
I read that fast and saw Ray Lewis…am I the only one?
Ruud is decent in pass coverage but terrible against the run. He loves missing tackles too. Good leader though.
Smells like desperation to me.
I hope Mike Williams and Deuce hook up and go to weight watchers, not IHOP.
If Deuce adds another 140 pounds he can simultaneously play 2 offensive line positions.
Gotta love the Rudd signing… at his best he’s a pro bowl caliber LB. Wish my Vikings woulda taken a look at him. Good job Seahawks! Bummer on the uniforms though, I was looking for a silver helmet revival.
Yes this just “smells like desperation”. Signing 3 quality depth players (all younger than 29) to 1 year deals is such a panic move. Someone please stop the Seahawks from filling out depth everywhere on their football team.
