Enough of this archaic garbage, shake yourself people.

If you can, get a science book from 30 years ago, then get one from 60 years ago & then research science of a century ago.Look how it has changed.
Just sickening how Teblow has to preach about a false god, he should stick to playing football and reading an NFL play manual. Just shows that christian fanatics will ruin anything and everything with their religious fanaticism. No wonder the most religious states are the ones with the lowest IQ's, the red southern welfare states.

Now we have to wonder how gay Teblow is having a Mani-ped, I'm guessing really gay since he's not married or with girlfriend. Be a real man Teblow, become secular!

I think Eric Cartman summed it up pretty well in this week's South Park episode: "Jesus loves me yes he does, because republicans told me so".

A sermon? To Who – 2nd graders? If Tebow’s IQ was 1 point lower he’d be a houseplant and have to be watered daily.

No wonder he’s so wrapped up in religion. He lacks the intellect to think critically.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 You people just can't stop hating on this kid can you?
Tebow will pay more in taxes in his career then you and your whole family will probably earn in a life time.
Who's the idiot now?
God Bless Tebow and God Bless Texas.
You know here in Texas there are 2 things we love; God and Football, so this is a great combination! We wear hats to keep the sun off our faces and boots so the rattlesnakes don't bite so of course we are stupid.
The best thing about being stupid is we know how to survive and take care of ourselves. We know how to hunt, fish, grow peppers and we have the best limes in the world. What more could you want with a great Margarita! You know, we moved here from western Massachusetts and I remember one of my last adventures at the grocery store there listening to a couple of Smith College girls commenting about the fact that we really didn't need farmers because we’ll always have grocery stores. One of my co-workers owned a dairy farm and was most surprised when a class of elementary school kids came on a field trip and asked if the brown cows made the chocolate milk. I had a scout troop there 20 years ago and none of the kids knew who the first president was but, they all knew about Martin Luther King month. We moved here 18 years ago as Yankees, we know how to survive the winters of New England, we love God, we love our Country, and for some peculiar reason we fit right in with the culture and would never leave.
To wrap it up do you know what the worst thing a Texan will ever see is? Answer: a Yankee in a U-Haul!
I'm a human. I have emotions that are sometimes justified and sometimes not. Regardless, that doesn't mean that I should let those emotions control me in a way that would cause me to act, publicly or privately, in a way contrary to my Christian beliefs and values.
In a comment I made above earlier, I provided several opinions in an attempt to provide some constructive criticism to my friends that still attend Celebration. Unfortunately, I laid out my raw thoughts without proof reading them and they did not accurately represent my true opinion. Also, unfortunately, Wordpress doesn't allow you to edit or delete your posts...else my post above would already be deleted. So...
I'd like to clarify a couple of things. First, it sounds like I think folks at the church and church leadership are purposefully doing what I laid out in the post. In truth, I honestly DO NOT think it's intentional and my comments are based on how their actions are perceived by me (a former member). "Reality" and "perception" are very different sometimes and I honestly believe that the reality is that the church and it's leaders, including the Champions, have the highest standards and best intentions. Unfortunately, my perception is differently from reality and I'm encouraging my friends at Celebration to do everything they can to fight negative perceptions...because others may have them as well. In addition, I've been told that the stories I heard through the grapevine about past employees may be a product of disgruntled employees and represents one side of the story. I agree - its unfair to mention treatment of past employees without hearing both sides. I'd give the church the benefit of the doubt that they treat their employees as Christ would.
In conclusion, the public lesson in humility that I've learned today is better than any church sermon I could have attended this weekend and I'm glad I live under grace and not the old testament law. Another lesson for naysayers is this - Christians make mistakes too. Don't judge Christ and His message by our actions. Only He is perfect. The rest of us are still working out that perfection under His love, forgiveness, and grace.
I'll be praying that the Lord sincerely blesses the outreach opportunity that Celebration Church and Tim Tebow have this weekend.
I want to chime in if I may. I think those who are non-christian and have posted, truthfully, I do not have time to waste responding to your drivel. No matter what I say there would be no convincing you or Christ redeeming blood and the purpose he dies on the cross; nor can I try to persuade you that Tim Tebow is merely using his notoriety or fame as a platform to share what is most important in his life.
To those who profess Christ, and who have either maligned Tim Tebow or made issue that he is speaking, I say shame on you. Whether you agree that he is a good football player or not is irrelevant. What is relevant and important is that he knows who he is in Christ and is not ashamed of this and in fact, wears his faith openly with humility and appreciation for what God has done in his life. Tim, like so many of us who are biblical based Christians, accept that since the beginning of time, God knew Tim Tebow, knew he would accept His son and God had plans for Tim Tebow. Tim is merely living out what God has called him to do. All of us are called to share our faith and hope that is in Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul said we are always to be ready to give an account of the hope that we hold in Jesus Christ. There is nothing that says that we are to be "ordained", we are to be obedient in His calling, in whatever venue, profession, vocation, or position, we are all supposed to be ready to share the gospel.
The Tebows are the real deal. My youngest son wentt with Tim's father and brother to the Philippines for three weeks sharing the gospel at the schools in Manila. My son had the chance to preach to 10,000 young people while there. I say this to stress that Tim Tebow and his family are the real deal and are in no way pretentious, or showmen of any kind; they simply feel led to share the gospel whenever, however, and wherever they can. They accept that God will use them for His glory and for His honor.
To excelebrationmember; I agreed with everything you said except for one thing, your attitude and bitterness came through more than your message. It is tragic that we have pastors in "mega churches" that seem to take far more than they give, rely on numbers, real or perceived and lean towards a bent of Narcissism making it all about them and not our Lord and Savior. Again, your points were well stated and I agree with you very much, but if you could shave off the bitterness and anger, I think it your points would be better received.
Why do you care what Tim Tebow does? I happen to know his father and family. They are quite sincere and are very much just what you see. Tim has a profession. People who are not Christians clearly don't understand those who are. Our lives are completely immersed in what we believe. You shouldn't be surprised when a Christian's life attacks your sensibilities. You have no ability to understand it so why get all worked up. A non- Christian will remain confused until he joins those who clearly see everything from a different viewpoint. Our Bible warns us of critics and those who hate us. You are simply proving the Bible correct once again.
The media may have got the ball rolling by making a mountain out of a mole with this Tebow thing, but let’s not pretend that Tebow is perfect; he’s not exactly shying away from it, he’s taking advantage of it. In his faith, I would think Jesus, who was a poor carpenter, would disapprove. Somehow, I think being religious and being rich are two different archetypes and should not be mixed.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
To understand Tebow's actions is to have a brief understanding of what he believes in. It is only fair since you are ignorantly bashing him.
Jesus called his disciples away from their careers. He called away the fishermen telling them to follow him and they will become fishers of men. He taught them to preach to the unbelievers about Himself and God that they might believe. He also taught them about humility and that they are examples to the world of God's work in them. They were to preach to convert non-believers to the love of God and His love for them by sacrificing Himself for their sins so they might be born again to live sinless in God;s presence in the afterlife.
Tebow is a humble man. He does not ask for media hype. Media hype thrives on him. He lives a humble life as possible and loves God for the love God has expressed to Tim Tebow. The money he receives will be cared for and used as though Tim is managing God's money and use it accordingly. If you will notice over time you will see Tim Tebow use his money to do good things to other people. I don't recall any wealthy person in our country for being a phylanthropist. Bill Gates has given away over 50 billion dollars yet no one bashes him for being rivh. No one bashes wealthy movie stars or other athletes. What makes Tim Tebow different.
God does not say it is hypocritical to have nice things and wealth. We will be judged by our actions and what we did with the gifts of life we are given; gifts such as a wonderful voice, the gift of intelligence to speacialize in a specific area of expertise in science, math, education. compassion and love for others. a gift in the ability to help others finding fulfillment in doing so, among so many other personal gifts we are each bestowed with.
Tim Tebow has been given the gift of being an exceptional athlete. Tim Tebow has not hyped himself in this manner - it is the media and the haters who have twisted what he stands for to suit their own non belief and dislike of what Tim believes in. Tebow has said nothing negative to his haters. He turns the other cheek.
Tim Tebow is just a very talented humble yet very self confident young man doing the best he can in this culture and society to be the best man he can be to live the life his God has given him. Tim is not perfect and he has not placed himself on a pedistal or himself created controversy. Other people have created the controversy and hatred of him. That sounds a lot like what happened to Tim's Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
If you don't like Tim Tebow, no one is putting a gun to your head to read articles and criticize him. God has given you the freedom to ignore him completely and live your life as you would like. Just because an article is there does not mean you should read it or have to read it and spew your hatred of this man. He is trying to be the best man he can be according to his faith and upbringing. Can you claim the same?
Instead of taking the time to spew unnformed hatred toward him you might better yourself to try to understand the man and discover what it is that makes him Tim Tebow. Good Lucki on this. All you need to do is know how to read.
We should all be so confident and fulfilleld in our lives as Tim Tebow obviously is. Try discovering more information on him with an open understanding nonjudgemental mind. It might deter your hatred of a person who has done absolutely nothing at all to you. You should find your hatred baseless. People are generally afraid of that which they know nothing about.
By the way, Jesus earthly father was a carpenter. It is a reach for you to say you seem to know what his father felt 2000 years ago. Where exaclty did you find that information? I would like to see it. His heavenly Father is God himself.
