I watched every game he ever played at ASU. The guy is solid. The Dan McGwire comments are stupid cuz Oz is closer to 6'6" than 6'8" and he's very athletic/mobile. Some idiot mentioned he had a losing record as a starter at ASU. I don't think that's accurate and, even if it were, that's on the defense more than the offense/Oz. Oz was putting up something like 32pts per game and threw for over 4,000yrds. He's very coachable, sticks throws, extremely mobile, and has tremendous leadership skills. No team should reach in the first for a 'project', but he's definity worth a bottom of 2nd/3rd-rounder.

It's one thing to think the guy is worthy of a 4th round pick to see if he can play in the NFL. But that's a LONG ways away from declaring him to be their next starting QB. If they thought he was that good, they certainly wouldn't be telling people they were going to wait until the 4th round and just hope he's still there.

Osweiler reminds of Philip Rivers alot… #17, white, and the throwing motion. I think it would be a good pickup for Denver if hes there in the 2nd round, Rodgers learned under Farve for 3 or 4 years so, just saying…."
=========================================

Uh, Aaron Rodgers was good DESPITE Favre's attempts to actively derail and not train Rodgers. Favre went out of his way to make sure Rodgers received no first team snaps and completely ignored even direct questions from Rodgers. Other backup QBs to Lord Favre stated the same thing. Peyton may not actively ignore his backups, but he's no better than Favre in mentoring young QBs.

On another note, Denver will need another QB real soon. The curse of Tebow will doom the Broncos.

If thats the case then why don't the Broncos just get a bunch of gametape together and have a bunch of QB's watch it?

I would luv to c manning go down (nothing to serious, I don’t wish hurt on anyone) but c this tall lanky slow dude to 5ake over when they had a playoff, winning qb, most loved football player in a long time, and watch tbow take over the jets after sachez throws 100 yrds w/ 4 picks in a game, newyork and tebow fans would be going crazy ….oh boy I c it going down….brancos will never win a super bowl with peyton, he’s been in the league a long. A ss time and only one 1 super bowl…he ain’t gunna do it with a new team, learning all over I’ll tell. Yah ….

__
Using Super Bowl victories to measure greatness is asinine. As for "learning all over", Peyton won't be the one learning a new offense...that will fall to the rest of the offensive side of the ball. John Fox was smart enough to let Tebow do what he does best (and it worked)...he will certainly let Peyton do what it is that he does best as well. Fox will focus on getting the players that Peyton needs to be successful and then make sure that the defense is top-notch, something that never happened in Indy. If anything, Peyton will finally be able to count on having a defense to match the offense that he leads.

awful. awful. awful.

Let's see...

19 Games as a starter.. Tebow started how many? Oh, and what has Brock ever won? What about The All-PAC12 3rd Team? Oh he wasn't on it? dang. Tebow was the best of the best (That thing called a Heisman) and he won 2 National Titles.

Less than 65% completion percentage (that being 2011, 2010 was less than 60%).. Tebow had over 66% for his college career

Good Athlete ( I mean he was gonna play at Gonzaga for basketball).. Not a good enough athlete to get his own goal-line package

Only 33 to 15 TD to INT ratio.. Try 88 to 15 coming out of UF for Tebow.

Janky throwing motion...Tebow's is probably just as bad.

Other than him being 6'7" what makes him any better than Tebow to take over as the successor to Peyton Manning? The media circus? Let's be honest, if John Elway really cared as much about the future as people are believing because they are possibly looking for a QB of The Future in the draft, then he wouldn't have cared and kept Timmah.

Not going to hate on Brock Osweiler too bad, but seriously he's got a ton of work to do in order to get ready to play in The NFL. A 5th Round talent, and to be honest he will more than likely be taken early (2nd Round) and will not live up to this workout/pre-draft hype.

Osweiler only started one season in college football and didn't even have that good of a year. He did have one good game against Mizzou which I was fortunate enough to be at, but that was about it. Even in high school, he couldn't even get his team past the first round of the playoffs for 3 straight years, that doesn't sound like a first-round pick to me. I don't understand how anyone would think he is a 1st round pick. Not to mention I met him in high school and he seems like a huge douche.

That's what I want my QB doing, spending his time coaching a rookie rather than spending as much time as he can familiarizing himself with his receivers, watching film of opponents, etc. There is no bigger myth in the NFL than saying a veteran QB "grooms" his predecessor.

How much time do you think Montana and Favre spent grooming Young and Rodgers? And can you imagine how bad Griese would have been if Elway hadn't groomed him?
