Yes they cheated. Yes the circumvented the salary cap, along with evading taxes. Yes their championship is tainted.

Now what will happen down the road, when players leave the Saints giving up more and more info the championship will be tainted even further. Hopefully knowledge that Drew Brees knew about it will come forward as well. That would open a whole new ball of wax. And would almost certainly keep him out of the HOF.

In my eyes if Sean Payton won 5 superbowls he would never get in the HOF.

Really? I’m a Saints fan and think this is far from certain. The Bucs have gotten better, Cam Newton & the Panthers are worrisome and the Falcons do well, at least during the regular season. I actually think the NFC South is one of the tougher divisions in the NFL. And Sean Payton not being on the sideline is not exactly a plus.

Couldn’t agree more. I logged into say this exact same thing. I’d keep my eyes on those Panthers next season and yes, the Falcons are always tough, at least during the regular season. I think this really hinges on if/when Brees signs, more than anything, regardless of who the coach is. JMO
