But Vikes fans/Shiancoe/Kluwe, I have some questions:
1. Did the Saints’ bounties cause Adrian Peterson to lose 3 fumbles in that game? (2 within ten yds of TDs, if I’m not mistaken…)
2. Did the Saints’ bounties cause Brad Childress to have a package mix-up that caused a 12 men in the huddle penalty on the final drive to take them out of FG range?
3. …and if the Saints bounties did in fact hurt a QB badly enough that he shouldn’t have been playing, should the Saints really be blamed for the concurrent QB hard-headedness and weak head coaching that would allow said injured QB to keep playing despite being a detriment as a decision-maker and rush-avoider?

The Saints bounties cost you a RING?! For real?!

I hate the vikings and I think anyone who is not biased would say that YES the saints cheating did cost them a ring. Even after everything you mentioned the vikings were in position to win the game. Imagine if the Saints had not cheated the vikings would have killed the saints. Honestly though I am grateful that the vikings have nothing.

At first I thought Sharper was the whistleblower, now I think he is one of the guilty. He can try to convince as many people as he wants that he is innocent while they drag him away, so to speak, i mean he does have freedom of speech. But he does not have freedom from repercusion, and if he is this afraid about his future HoF status, words (and damaging or frustrating effects of his words, or after proven, his lies) like these will only jeopardize that even more.

The problem wasn’t the Saints blatent dirty late shots but the fact the refs didn’t flag them & the league apologized after the fact & fined the Saints players. The refs blew it, they fix had to be on.

Remember when this mess first broke? Something I can’t forget about. It was reported that there were 18,000 documents containing 55,000 pages related to the investigation. I have always wondered what is in those pages. I bet somewhere in there is the evidence that Sharper needs to see along with his name a time or two.

How about this – someone overhead someone say something that they thought were instructions to me to commit a crime, but in fact I committed no crime. Is that a defense? Gregg Williams rants and raves in a locker room, but no one is actually injured – except of course, one of my own teammates by one of the 49ers. Is that what they call a “technicality”?

No players should be penalized unless it can be proven he did something worse than normal for an NFL player who plays his position.

We’ve seen no proof that the bounty system caused more or even more severe injuries to the opposing team. The fact that it existed is not the player’s fault.

And remember Favre was bruised and limping from the week before the Championship game when he faced Dallas.

There should be no penalties for players without penalties for the officiating too!

I would be STUNNED if the Saints made the playoffs this year. Who in the world is taking over your team as HC? Maybe if you had Parcells…but even then it would be a longshot. You lost your great HC for a year…no way you make the playoffs without him. This will be an interesting year to see who is more important, a great HC or a great QB. I think the former is.

As a Pats fan I’d rather lose TB for a year than BB. MUCH rather. Especially since he does so much with the draft, as does SP. No SP for draft, no SP for camp and installations and practices, no SP at all. No way you make the tourney. TB’s great, but without BB, my team doesn’t go anywhere.

The reason the NFL came down so hard on the Saints and coaches was because they continually lied to the investigators and even to the comissioner’s face. For Sharper to make the stupid statements means he just doesn’t get it. Let him lie directly to Goodell and see how many games he gets. Come clean and the punishment will be lessened. You don’t reward lying.
