The only thing that could hold him back is poor QB play which was evident the past few seasons. Now that he has a talented QB he is rejuvenated.

I wish him nothing but the best. 6 thousand yard seasons equals Hines Ward and he could have had 1000 yards in 2009 if he hadn’t broken his hand in week 15 (982 yards). He has never been scared to go across the middle. Never had alligator arms. He has never given his team not the league any reason to doubt his ability or his toughness. HOF? I don’t know, but a couple of more seasons like the one he just had and he will definitely get more consideration.

Not only does he have a young QB with a live arm but he also has an offense he seems to love playing in.

Smith has said in local radio that he was seeking 4 years with his next contract so his son could be in only 1 high school. Thank God those 4 years will be here.

Now if we could only find a #2 WR that is worth a crap, Smith would get 2,000 receiving yards next year.
