Getty ImagesAfter briefly testing the free agent waters, Titans defensive end Dave Ball has decided to stay in Tennessee.
Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports that Ball and the Titans have agreed to a one-year contract worth about $1.2 million, and that Ball is expected to sign the contract tomorrow.
Ball had looked around and drawn some interest from other teams, but he wanted to stay, and the Titans wanted to keep him.
Last year Ball played in 14 games for the Titans, starting eight. He had four sacks and two forced fumbles.
The 31-year-old Ball was a fifth-round pick of the Chargers in 2004 and also played for the Jets before signing with the Titans in 2008.

Dave Ball is crazy. If you’ve never heard his post game interview last year when he talked about dropping soap in the shower try to find it.
The first thing that pops into my head when I hear this guy’s name is that Thanksgiving Day turkey-flap touchdown against the Lions.
