I was diagnosed with bone cancer in 1993. Through that trial I had the chance to meet Pastor Napoleon at the Raiders training facility in Oakland. He was/is my favorite player! He was awesome! He prayed with my family and even gave me his personal phone number. He is an awesome role model and I believe he will help all Raider players who meet him. Welcome Back Nap!!!!!! He signed this on my Kaufman jersey….Galatians 2:20

As a LIFE LONG BRONCO FAN…its hard to say anything negative about Napoleon Kaufman. I feared him every time he touched the ball and he is a reminder of when the Raiders were ACTUALLY GOOD…. Congrats…Plus we played against him in the CIF playoff in high school… Really good dude..

A true great man. One heck of a Raider. Much respect for him walking away because his heart was into something else. Instead of hanging around collecting a paycheck. Looks like we will be seeing you at the stadium more than a time or two a year.

Napoleon ran the 40 in 4.3 seconds. He weighed only 185 lbs, but benched 500 lbs and squatted 600 lbs.

He had as many 40+ yard runs (16) as Emmitt Smith did in his entire career. His career average of 4.90 yards per carry are among the best of all time (as a comparison, Barry Sanders averaged 4.99).

Dude was a beast. If McFadden get injured again, I say kick the tires on Napoleon. He’s only a couple years older than Kevin Faulk, Tiki Barber, and Fred Taylor. Last season showed us all what a man of God can do on the football field against the odds!

Tore it up at UW and I remember being so stoked when we drafted him. Broke my heart to see him retire so early, but he did what was best for him and I respect that.

Nap Kaufamn is one the classiest individuals to ever grace the NFL. He is a sincere man of faith, not someone who called attention to himself by making showy gestures on the field after success. It wasn’t injuries that derailed his football career, his calling to the ministry is why he retired. Yeah, he made good money, but he passed up many millions of dollars more by walking away when he did. He’s a true man of conviction.

I’ve been around Napoleon when he coaches youth football here in No. California.
He’s a good guy. Great with the kids. His son is a speedy little terror on the field.
