^ READ the story, not the Florio propaganda, but the story. He denied the existence of proof that any player received or took part in injuring an opponent. He didn’t say there was no system. He said the proof to ‘prosecute’ isn’t there. You guys need to work on your reading comprehension and read more than just Florio’s anti-Saint fictional posts.

Before this all came to light I held Drew in pretty high esteem, however the more he gets involved and continues to deny any of this the more I am losing my respect for him. The best thing he can do right now is keep his mouth shut and just play QB and not become the mouthpiece for the rest of the slugs in the organization.

..so…..if there was a tape of some player saying he is going to “kill” Drew Brees in ABC playoff game….are you going to think he means he is going to actually try and kill him??? Give me a break. Have any of you ever played football at any level? If not, you should SHUT UP because you are clueless and have no idea what goes on in locker rooms (obviously) and how the game is REALLY played….

Brees just needs to keep quiet. If he is going to continue to claim that the “NFL has no evidence”, I’m gonna really start to despise him.

The NFL has plenty of evidence. They have emails stating who put in money on given weeks, they have confessions from the coaching staff, and we have the audio that was just absolutely chilling.

Brees needs to focus on how serious this is instead of how he wished the Saints weren’t punished. Targeted player’s heads and brains for the sake of winning a football game is jacked up and absolutely criminal! What’s worse is to target that area of the body and then throw in a pool of money from everyone if they succeed.

Drew Brees, you need to shut up. I like you and want to keep liking you, but you are making it hard. Just stay quiet.

@ejmat2 – sorry, still don’t see a link to audio of a Saint player saying, “Give me my money” anywhere on the main or NOLA page on here. Only audio I know of is GW saying attack body parts. Again, please just show me a link that takes me to an audio clip of any defensive player once saying, “Give me my money” after knocking Favre or anyone out of a game.

It’s been said several times here. No one has denied the existence of the system. What Brees is asking is where did it occur on the field?

Darren Woodson was on ESPN recently and said He’s watched Jon Vilma ever since he’s been in the league and he’s not a dirty player. The only hit I’d call dirty was the high/low by Hargrove and McCray on Favre. Both of those players are no longer on the Saints roster. Sure Williams talked the talk,but did the Saints listen to him on the field? Did anyone go after Crabtree’s ACL in the playoff game? The answer is no.

How would you feel if your boss or HR Dept. threatened to fire or suspend you without pay based on hearsay? That’s simply what Brees is asking. We don’t send people to jail in this country without solid proof beyond the question of a doubt. Of course it doesn’t always happen,but that’s how it’s supposed to work.

In essence,Brees is asking for Due Process. Proving allegations in a court of law is entirely different than the court of public opinion. See O.J. Simpson.

To be 100% sure, I just googled the list of Super Bowl champions. The NFL history book still says Saints 31 Colts 17 with no*. That’s the only opinion that matters. That’s why our founding fathers of this great nation decided a supreme court justice is appointed for life. That allows them to make decisions based on their beliefs and not have to worry about what the public thinks. OK for all you Saints Haters and crap stirers(Florio). No one with the Saints admitted to a bounty system. They admitted to a pay for performance program which is against NFL rules and CBA. That is why Williams, Payton, Vitt and Loomis apologised. There hasn’t been any evidence given to the public to show that there was a pay for injury program in place. What was said on the Williams audio tape is no different then what is said in every locker room in football. It was also very convenient that the part when Williams said don’t cross the line or do anything to hurt the team was left off of the public’s version. This is all a big media crap fest and the NFL trying to protect itself from concussion law suits. Also it is very foolish to keep bringing up tainted or asterik on the Saints Superbowl. You people need to grow up and take defeat like adults, not kids that want to take their toys and go home because they choked in the big game!
