Eye injury in bar fight has Knighton out at least three months

Jaguars defensive tackle Terrance Knighton expects to make a full recovery after he suffered an eye injury when he was hit in the face with a vodka bottle during a bar fight. But that recovery is going to take a while.

Knighton will miss at least three months following eye surgery, Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey said today. The Jaguars had been hoping Knighton would continue to slim down and work hard in the offseason program, but instead he’s not involved in the offseason workouts and is simply resting so that his eye can fully recover.

So the best-case scenario is that Knighton is cleared to return to physical activity just before the start of training camp, at which point, given his history, there’s a good chance he’ll be overweight and out of shape.

The worst-case scenario is that Knighton’s eye injury turns out to be worse than he and the team are expecting, and the Jaguars will have a big hole in their defensive line.

Pot Roast will be simmering with frustration for the next three months. Any help the team gets from him this season will be gravy. Hopefully he won’t have to go under the knife again.

Terrance is a tough guy, though. Don’t be too quick to stick a fork in Pot Roast.

Pot Roast on the shelf for three months. Must have been a terrible beef.

Sounds like they already have a big hole in their defensive line

    Was it low-calorie vodka?

even when he weighs more, Pot roast has the habit playing great. Also he is working more this offseason and he would be in better shape than the past years which. Only if is that he gets ready in 3 months.

He can still keep an eye out for the QB.

This tub of goo is nicknamed Pot Roast? Ya, that’s something to be proud of. Moron.

Pot Roast can seem crusty on the outside, but if you cut through the surface he is as soft as butter inside.

There was a dip in weight and now expectations

According to witnesses, Pot Roast intervened in a nasty situation and it turned worse. Things went from the roasting pan into the fire.

Jags players seem to get a lot of bad attention when they try to go out.

Yes if he is out there is a huge hole in the DL.

Great. Our interior run stuffer, who needs constant exercise, is out for 3 months with a vodka bottle.

If I’m the team, I’m negotiating a special contractual addendum with his agent now to inject a dietician into his crib for the next three months. This is ridiculous.

    Go ahead. Doubt him.

I hope his agent explained what Non Football Injury means.

I can’t see how a guy that gets beat up at a bar can command respect on the field.

After getting clocked in the head with a vodka bottle, Knighton was still able to help security break up the fight AND drive himself to the emergency room. You probably still need mommy to get you a band-aid when you get a boo-boo…

Hope he got to drink some of the vodka, before he got clobbered by it.

Put an eyepatch on that b and trade him to the Bucs…or the Raiders.

It’s sad that he can’t even comment on himself on what he’ll be doing to try and keep the weight he supposedly lost that he claimed before the insident that he’s in better shape than when he played in college…!
