APAs expected, the 2012 regular-season schedule will be unveiled on Tuesday, April 17 at 7:00 p.m. ET.
The league will pull the sheet off the proverbial Rocky statue at 7:00 p.m. ET. (Hopefully, Clubber Lang won’t show up.) Inevitably, some games will leak before them, if/when individual teams get their hands on the document.
Two weeks ago, a fan fabricated a 2012 schedule, duping many into thinking it was real, despite several clear flaws.
Once the 2011 regular season ended, the opponents and locations were locked in for 2012. Still, fans want to know when their favorite teams’ games will be played, whether and to what extent the games will scheduled for prime time, especially with an expanded Thursday night schedule in 2012.
For now, it’s known that the Cowboys and Giants will play on the evening of Wednesday, September 5 to launch the season, and that the Patriots and Rams will play in London in late October.

As a season ticket holder who travels significant distance (2000 miles from AK)to see the games, I look forward to the schedule to see when I will be in Seattle. Go Hawks!
Nothing like waiting to the last minute letting everyone know.
What’s the over under for NFC East primetime games? I’ll say 8.
The most important part of the schedule release is so the fans can make their hotel reservations, arrange for days off from work (if necessary) and decide on method of travel, based on distance from the city/stadium.
Can’t wait
New England gets the easiest schedule, LOL.
Hopefully the Texans have a easy schedule and some Sunday night games!
Damn!!! I just cannot wait for another 4-12 season for my Brownies!!! Somebody shoot me in the face.
having that rocky pic up is a great segway from the previous two stories of nflpa and vilma
Patriots and Rams play Oct. 28.
Bills better have a MNF/SNF game!
den/pit = 1st snf game.
give my bills a home night game please! our fans are dying for one. other fans remember when we played dallas at night we gave you a hell of a game..even though it ended in heartbreak
Need to know what days I need to call in sick since I work Sundays!
Here We Go!!!!! 26 hours till the Release, 10 days till the Draft, 3.5 months till Preseason, 4.5 till Gametime
soooooooo….. 10 NFC East primetime games? someone needs to put a stop to this. redskins 13, eagles 6
Will the Raiders finally get a scheduled game on NBC’s SNF? They’ve been only on once (2006 at Denver) since the network took over the Sunday night package.
Tweet from 49ers DL Ricky Jean Francois:
“49ERS at Packers opening week. Sunday night football ya’ll.”
Packers at Texans SNF
Ravens at Texans MNF
Texans at Titans TNF
In Green Bay, I think they also call Schedule Release Day……Cancellation Day. Some diehard Packer fans make Hotel Reservations for EVERY Sunday of the NFL Season. When the schedule comes out, they call to cancel the 8 days they don’t need.
Gee I hope they schedule the first home game or two for the Bucs to start at 1:00, so the fans can enjoy the 90 degree temps. Nothing more refreshing than the oppressive heat on a hot sunny day at the Ray!!!!
The week 1 Monday night double header’s going to be
New england vs jets
Broncos vs chargers
Cserisey, I can’t help but laugh at your post. A few years ago, I dropped my hometown Eagles when they signed the Dog killer. At that time I picked up the Browns as my team (family in Ohio). Man, has it been a tough transition. But, I stand behind it. Let’s have some faith! Go Browns!
Lions will get 3 again in 2012:
thanksgiving, monday night, and either a thursday or end of season flex.
Per my post above, SNF week one is Niners at Packers.
RGIII (though I like him) will be a bust …..in the sense that he will not be the hero in DC, leading them to the Promise Land (as some people think he will).
I expect zero prime time games for KC.

New England, and Green Bay. Both of those teams have had real cupcake schedules as of late.
I heard a leak of Raiders vs Broncos in Oakland Monday night on Christmas Eve.
I hope they made Stallone’s statue life sized, so no one will be hurt falling from the top of it.
I hope Buffalo will play Sundays & Mondays?
Dolphins 1-15.
Screw the Cowboys
Big day For fans like me..travaling to Sf/Az for Phins games good barometer to make prelim plans for travaling ..it’s ok don’t feel sorry for me (:
If I could have one scheduling wish granted itd be Pats@Ravens, MNF to open the season.
Per a statement the league made a few weeks ago, every team will be scheduled at least one night game. I imagine the less then desirables will get their one game on Thursday night.
How many times will the Washington Foreskins be on National tv, prime time, with RGIII, this year?
s.f. at seattle on a thursday
AZ at Rams on a Thursday
Browns at Pitt again on a Thursday
Ravens at Washington on a Thursday
Bills at Cards week 1
Pats at Miami week 1 Monday night
When the Bronc-hoes suck with 5 or 6 Prime Time games scheduled that no one can wiggle off the hook from late in the year, we’re all going to be sorry. Please NFL, don’t make this a Peyton Prime Time Fest! You owe us from having to watch so many Colts Prime Time games from last season!
The Game of the Year…………
NY Giants at Paul Brown Stadium vs those Cincinatti Bengals………you heard it hear first.
Ravens @ Redskins would be a good option for the 3rd game on Thanksgiving night.
Both teams are so close, it really wouldn’t hurt any family plans too badly. No flights involved for the teams. And since both the Redskins and Ravens play the Cowboys this year… and the Cowboys also play on Thanksgiving, it would set up well so that a match-up between any of those pairings the week before or after would be on the same amount of rest.
Of course, that probably makes too much sense for the NFL to come up with.
My only thought was I betcha Florio was watching the random Rocky Marathon on spike last night…
Hoping for a Chicago Bears vs Dallas Cowboys on THANKSGIVING DAY. Its about time the Bears get a Turkey Game Day against a team other than the Lions… Peppers is ready to make himself a ROMO-SANDWICH! GO BEARS!
Best day of the offseason

Do the Dolphins play the Ravens again, in another mudfest?
Circa 2007.
As a Bills fan, they better not give our Jets home game to Toronto. I’m so looking forward to round 2 of the “Tebow sucks” chants at the Ralph.

Hopefully the league gives all the Bronco/Peyton nonsense games..the Manning gets hurt and they are stuck with the God awful Broncos..with..WHO IS THIER BACKUP ANYWAY ??
The Redskins will suck regardless.
Christian Ponder > RGIII
Im a texan fan and the only game of theirs i hope is NOT in prime time is at Denver since, living in Kansas, that is the only game i can go to.
Last year the Raiders and Redskins were screwed by having to play a Monday night game on the road, and then turn around and have to play on the road again the following week. Let’s see if the NFL can make sure that doesn’t happen to anybody this year.
