This is why the Browns have the perfect uniform. Their throwbacks look the same as the modern uniform.

May the steelers play as well this season as when they orignally wore these uniforms.

The uniforms are ugly but give me a break haters. The first forty years of our franchise was terrible? Who cares I wasn’t even alive in the 30′s 40′ 50′s and 60′s who cares. We still have the most superbowls and are a playoff team every year

I can’t imagine why any fan would deny the team’s past. To me, the fact that our team didn’t win a playoff game for the first 40 years of its existence is one of the more interesting parts of its history. That just makes the 70s story more powerful.

Look up your team’s history sometime. The team was the
laughingstock of the entire NFL for most of its first 40 seasons.

One playoff appearance in that span…
and they even LOST that game!
Also, most seasons they had losing records.

Delusional Stooler fans wanna think Chuck Knoll was their first
coach & they act like the team & the NFL didn’t exist before 1965.

Not a Nike fan, but this has nothing to do with them. The Rooneys chose to use the 1934 jersey as this year’s throwback for the team’s 80th anniversary. They’ll only wear them for two games. The socks are kind of growing on me. But just because I’d wear them to sleep on a cold winter’s night doesn’t mean I want to see them on my football team.

Another Steelers fan who says to Nike “Oh no you didn’t!” These are horrible, as the taste of 21st century cannot compare to that of the 1930′s.

Goodell probably thought J. Harrison will have the right outfit with that jersey on already before he kicks in with new suspension.

As a Steelers fan I already have a bid in for a picture of #92 sacking a QB with that jersey to make up for missing out on pick w/ Harrsion and Massaquoi a couple of years ago on nfl.com.

Then all these guys in prison stripes, herky jerk around on the screen a bit before they all end up in a pile on the ground. Finally a stern man with a moustache and a whistle (“Tweet!”) will admonish the pile and point off into the distance.

Whole family will be on the couch with you, laughing and laughing.

Yes – this is a most unattractive jersey. However, a little research shows that this was the uniform design in 1934. So if one is using a “throwback” jersey what is the alternative? Make one up?
