We have 3 championships.. doesnt matter how long ago its been a championship is a champion. Our team needs are a safeties for 14 games.. the ones we will play against teams besides your bummy skins cuz our lightweight safeties can pick u guys off..

Wow, seems like a lot of people reading Eagles articals just to bash them. Let’s get real people, we are reading and replying to a topic about the draft, not how many super bowls your team has won or ours haven’t. Or how good or bad the Giants are( and they are good Fellow fans, let’s at least give the SB winners their due), or Cowboys, or Redskins. So let’s all stop the hate and get down to the actual topic of discussion.
Sorry had to vent a little there. That being said- I personally hope they take Floyyd if he is still there. We have needed a tall RZ threat for a long time, and Cooper ain’t him. If not then Barron, Cox, or Keuchley. One of those 4 will hopefully be there. But PLEASE GOD DON’T LET TANNEHILL FALL TO 15. I would hate that pick but doubt big red be able to help himself.

I’m an Eagles fan but I think it’s funny now that top 5-10 picks cannot command a ton of guaranteed money, they want to move up. They are so skeptical of high draft picks.

Skins fan here:

the Eagles need a Red Zone threat. Preferably over 6’2″ with sure hands. That would be scary.

Other than that, they are very close, their secondary needs leadership, and their defense needs a captain ever since Dawkins left.

I hate saying it, but they are not far off from going deep in the playoffs….yes, they had a slow start last year, but came on in the end, and are explosive. If they beef up their D and get a bigger receiver, watch out.

Their needs are…in this order:

1. Linebacker—obviously. they should take the best LB on the board at 15. Period. Add that with Ryans and another year in the system with the Wide 9 tightening up as it did last year, and we should be vastly improved.

2. Safety —This is ignored too often. Coleman and Jarrett are serviceable at BEST. They should even consider taking a Safety over a LB if the right player is there.

3. DT—This is the really the least of my concerns. Jenkins played well and Patterson was at least decent. Take a guy if he’s there, but not at the expense of LB or Safety.

4. Big WR–Strike that…THIS is the least of my concerns, but it would to have a Plaxico-sized guy when we get into the red zone (we know Andy and Marty forget that Celek exists).

Fans like you is why I hope, when my beloved Saints are not in the mixed of course, wins the Superbowl.
There’s no word to explain my “high” in 2003 when LSU won the NCG, that’s in my life time.
And when the Saints took that next step in 2009 after a disappointing, heart breaking lost in Chicago I knew then that I can now die and worried about whether or not I’m going to kick my casket and beat the Devil’s ass for the torture.
When Saints was playing Arizona in the playoff, it gave me a tiny tiny tiny piece of comfort to know if Saints lost its okay because I’m a huge Warner’s fan and would love to see Arizona win one. (like I said very very tiny piece!!)

Patterson had his surgery this year. He had a seizure during training camp. He also isn’t fully healed from the surgery currently.

How do you guys not even know what is going on with your own team?

Yes they finally replaced one of the Three Stooges at linebacker but, I hope their not finished. Funny how it comes out about how terrible they are. I said this from training camp. Most saw it soon after. Question: Did Reid really think Casey Matthews and crew were taking him to The Super Bowl? This has to be a break out year for Nate Allen or else. I however think the safeties will be vastly improved. If its me, I taking the best Defensive Tackle I can Get in the draft and look for two other legit linebackers, not 7th rounders.

Safety, DT, for sure. But what about the offensive line? Not exactly an outstanding lot there either- firemen and overpaid Bills’ castoffs. And there was no mention of defensive coordinator- that may be the greatest need- and it will not be addressed.

As an Eagles fan I would scream Holy Mike Mamula if they draft LK….dude is pure garbage….can’t get off blocks and 80% of his tackles are made 2-4 yards down field with 18% of the othere made 5 yards downfield….the Eagles need a read and react, block shedding TFL machine.

The DT’s of this team did their job last year the LB’s sucked…..playing pressman is positively necessary when playing the wide nine fronts….and don’t be suprised if the Eagles run a lot of 4-4 fronts on 1st and obvious running 2nd downs next year…..

It’s funny for fans of any team in the NFC east other than a Giants fan to bring up any notion of winning a Superbowl as every other team in the NFC east has as many players on a SB winning team as the Eagles do……

The main need for that team is to move to a city that has fans that can do simple math.

eagles will be tough, as they always seem to be. anyone who thinks that they wont be dangerous this year doesnt know football. that said, im sticking with my giants to repeat as division champs this year. the eagles didnt gell early on and the giants had tons of injuries….both teams are much better than their final regular season records last year would indicate.
