Ravens people…..please get it right. The Ravens played primetime regular season games in Pittsburgh 2 years in a row and lost and then lost the primetime playoff game which is a playoff game. The Baltimore Sun reported that the Ravens requested that the NFL not make the Ravens play ANY primetime games in Pittsburgh anymore. Therefore, the next year, the Steelers played in Baltimore in primetime and beat the Ravens. Last year, there were no Steelers-Ravens primetime games period and the Ravens won both. This year, they are going back to a game in Pittsburgh. If the schedule was reversed, I would not see it as an advantage. It is what it is. The Steelers beat the Ravens at home in primetime, the Steelers beat the Ravens at Baltimore in primetimw, the Ravens beat the Steelers in Baltimore and Pittsburgh in daytime…….who cares? Get over it, hon.

Idoit. The Ravens played in Pittsburgh last year on a Sunday night (Primetime). And beat them. Remember, when Flacco went 92 yards on your defense and threw the game winner to Torrey Smith?

The facts are that in 2009, after the Ravens had played 3 of the previous 4 years in Pburgh at night prime time games – which everyone knows is an advantage – they requested not to to it yet again after Pburgh had won the Super Bowl and was expected to be awarded a home night opener. At that time, the Steelers never had to play a night game in Bmore. That request was made one time, 3 years ago, and has not been repeated.

I respect the Steelers but you can’t tell me if the situation was reversed, Steeler fans wouldn’t be annoyed about advantage going to the Ravens.

I’m a die hard Ravens fan, I read the Sun and Baltimoreravens.com every day and listen to sports talk on my ride in to work and home every day. Not once have I heard anything about the Ravens requesting not to play at night in Pitt. Only story is the Ravens requesting a Monday Night home game.

I love how people get worked up over the schedule like hte NFL plays “favorites.” It’s based on a formula used, plus two flex games. The formula has remained the same for years, you can pretty much figure out what conference/non confernece teams YOUR team will play in 2014, 2015, etc… It’s simple math.

And no game is easy at schedule release time. If my team had the 49ers on the schedule last year, early on, I’d be calling that an “easy game.” Then they finish 13-3. Once you get into the season a little, THEN you can mark down some “Easy” games.

Thank you for this. I am sick of reading people’s questions as to how the Patriots can go to the Super Bowl and then have an “easy” schedule. It is called schedule rotation. And I’m a Bengals fan, not a Patriots fan before anyone jumps to the wrong conclusion.

It’s “favoritism” to have the two #1 seeds from the prior year showcased when the league is paid for by advertising? Who are they supposed to showcase at 7:00 P.M. the Browns and Dolphins? BILLIONS have to be generated by the networks to pay for all this and if the eyes aren’t affixed to the commercials, the money don’t flow. The same goes for Manning – people are going to want to watch him rebound or fail, either way the advertisers are happy and the money flows. This isn’t t-ball where everyone gets a ribbon and a popsicle for participating.

Let’s pencil the Pats in for another 13-3 season, shall we? LOL
