It’s a football blog, dimwit, and Steeler Nation’s boundaries are worldwide. Try jumping forward into the 21st century when people are watching their NFL teams on satellite and PS3 around the globe. I wouldn’t recognize the star player for the Penguins or Pirates if I sat next to him on an airplane and could care less about hockey or baseball.

As for those old, slow, done Steelers … that’s what they said last year and we went 12-4. Dream on

It’s sad time in Putzburgh.

Their heavily favored hockey team got beat by the hated Flyers.

The Pirates… well, they are still the Pirates so that means they are track to lose 100 games again.

And the Stealers? They are old, slow, and done… not to mention, soon to be in salary cap hell.

Oh well… cheer up yinzers. It’ll be hockey season again before you know and maybe next year the Pens won’t choke.

Second, being 5-0 rather than 6-8 in the Super Bowl just means you’ve won fewer conference championships … so you’ve been less competitive overall. I’d rather my team were winning conference championships even if they lose in the ultimate contest than sitting home watching on television.

I would like to see this get settled and Wallace remain a Steeler. He is going to get alot better. Speed is something that cannot be taught, but route running can. He is a good 3 years away from his prime. I think people forget this guy is still young. I just wish his agent would realize that also before he goes demanding Fitz type money. He is worth about what D Jackson’s contract was in Philly. In the end I hope he is in Pittsburgh for many years to come, but if not this franchise will still succeed.

Give Wallace a break-it is how you do business in the NFL. Hines Ward did the same thing a few years ago. Steelers will sign him at a good, fair contract.

This is all a bunch of nonsense and drama for the offseason. Come Training camp Mike Wallace will be in uniform and ready to push the steelers right back in the superbowl. The ravens had there one chance to get to the sb and blew it. Time for the steelers to get back in it and it all starts with the draft this week.
The steelers have at least won 2sb and lost 1 in the last 1o yrs so at least they know how to get there. Can’t say the same for the ratbirds who havent even seen a sb in 12yrs and won’t with Floppo. The raisins are gonna be be battling the bungles for 2nd this year.

Another Steelers fan here who won’t be sad to see him not playing and end up on another team. Don’t need any greedy primadonna’s on this team. Wallace is good but not that good. And, apparently, he’s not that smart or at least his agent isn’t. He’s losing out. What leverage does he have? No one else wanted him. Looks like I’ll be throwing out my #17 cap.

He’d be the instant #1 wr on approx 25 teams and the others would love to him as well. The guy is great and makes a team dangerous. He is dynamic.

How many teams become playoff contenders with the additition of him? Several.
