APThe Redskins may add some depth at linebacker today.
Free agent linebacker Bryan Kehl, who played for the Rams last season, is visiting Washington today, and Jason La Canfora of NFL Network reports that there’s a strong chance a deal will get done.
Kehl, who played in 14 games and started one for the Rams last year, has also visited the Dolphins. In five NFL seasons, three with the Giants and two with the Rams, Kehl has been mostly a backup linebacker and special teams player.

I have literally no idea who this guy is.
If he’s an inside ‘backer, it makes sense. The ‘Skins, a 3-4 team, currently have three ILBs under contract. They’ll probably sign this guy and draft an ILB this week, too.

don’t forget snitch
these two teams keep coming up together
I only have one question: why? Kehl doesn’t fit a 3-4 defense. A guess he’s a depth player, but if he hits the field at any other portion of the game beyond special teams, he’s going to get worked.
Kehl = championship
Brian Kehl was a quick young talent who I thought would stay and develop as a Giant. He’s a smart kid who kept a rookie season weekly blog published at nygiants.com.
If it wasn’t for a special teams penalty late in the preseason, I thought he would’ve stayed with the G-Men longer. He was released with time for the Rams to pick him up. He made strong tackles but needed to build up his size for his frame. I think he looks better after these past 2 years.
How was he a snitch?
jldaverso, I think strctlylo is referring to this:
