I’m still waiting for someone to produce that list of “cart-offs” from 2009-2011 and prove him wrong.

My thoughts: Hey, media, NFL, and Goodell, produce the list of injuries and cart-offs or gtfo.

I respect that you gotta have a story. But weeks of bounty-gate coverage without anyone discussing the injuries that ACTUALLY OCCURRED is getting a little ridiculous. It’s like the media is intentionally avoiding discussing three years of football and just focusing on one game where Farve took a (mostly legal) beating.

Mike, if you want a bunch of hits, do some research and produce the list. Good or bad, the list would give people something NEW to talk about in regards to bountygate and would help put what actually occurred on-field in perspective. I don’t get the feeling that you’re a huge Saints fan, but as a media guy, it’d be nice if you or someone in the media actually look at what injuries occurred and gave us a fair shake. After all, I’m sure the NFLPA is going to ask for direct on-field evidence. It’d be nice if someone in the media got the jump on that.

I don’t need to go on and on about what held the Saints back those years.

Vitt talks like there wasn’t a tape of Williams from just a few months ago telling guys to hurt players. What does he think his suspension is all about?

We live in America where you do in fact have the freedom to say what you please. That does not however mean that you cannot be held accountable for what comes out of your mouth. If you slander someone, if you threaten someone it is a crime and you can be punished for it.

Williams said “take out the head of Frank Gore.” Williams said “Crabtree becomes human when you take out his ACL.” These are threatening statements at the least and contracts to injure someone at the worst. He and the Saints are lucky there are not legal charges being filed in court on this matter. He was caught on both video and audio tape making these statements, and it would hold up in a court of law as he was not being taped without consent or knowledge. The man who made the tape had permission to do so. Stop defending a criminal please.

Saints are going to crush teams this year.

You can thank Roger Goodell when the Saints roll through your town and run up the score. You can think “at least Sean Payton held them back a little”, cause it’s obvious that Joe Vitt and the Saints are on a mission.

People did you hear what he said or tea the transcript, he said that he regrets the words spoken. He didn’t say they were headhunters. The words they used were wrong but at no point did any saints defender act upon any of the statements made in the 49ers game or any other game.

You seem to be forgetting the guy who was recorded on the sideline during the NFC conference championship game bragging that he was going to be collecting $10,000 when he thought he knocked Favre out of the game. Too bad for that guy that Favre was too tough and had too little concern for his own long term health. When Favre came back into the game, that guy’s payout was dramatically reduced. And no, I’m not a Vikings fan complaining about that game. Just pointing out yet another piece of physical evidence that counters yet another excuse for why what the Saints did supposedly wasn’t so bad. I swear, some of these people could be soaked to the bone and still deny it’s raining outside. they’d claim it was simply a sprinkler incident, despite the fact that it was dry inside and wet as heck outside.

The more I hear these cheating scoundrels defend their actions the more sickening it is. “yes I know it SOUNDS damning”. “I’m sorry for what has happened.”

Seriously their non-apologies stop just short of the classic “we’re sorry you feel this way.”

Greg Williams is the only person who has truly apologized for this, because his apology acknowledged that he knew what he was doing was wrong and that he’s sick about his own actions (whether the words are true or not is another story, but at least he gave a real apology).

Yet Williams will never coach again and Loomis, Payton, and Vitt will be back at it scheming new ways to cheat the corners of the system. Finding ways to intercept opponent signals, cheat the CBA to motivate their players in ways other teams can’t, etc. Hell they’ll probably even use this bounty stuff as a rallying cry rather than a shameful event that they want to atone for as a team.

What’s so funny is that the majority of posters are morons. The NFL has no game day evidence to support a bounty. They have lockerroom talk, but no on the field evidence that the players were out there trying to hurt anybody. As a matter of fact, the on the field evidence says they were one of the cleanest teams!

But you idiots who are in favor of this keep on ball washing Goodall blindly. The rest of us can think for ourselves and actually do research too.

The irony of someone who can’t tell the difference between intent and results calling others morons.

News flash – the intent or incentive is still against the rules – even if it doesn’t happen. It’s not the NFL’s fault the Saints couldn’t deliver on what they intented and PAID players to do. Doesn’t change the fact that they TRIED to do it.

THAT’S why they’re being hit with the consequences.

To all you Saints fans who believe that they will be motivated and roll to the SB, I would agree you’d have a shot…IF you still had Payton on the sidelines. Losing a HC of that caliber isn’t some nothing deal. Remember those days when you had a bunch of talent but Haslett as your HC?

As for the Saints haters, listen to the ENTIRE audio from the Williams tape before you run your mouth. He talks about NOT inflicting injuries, and alludes to using violent terminology to compliment a violent sport. I never liked Williams, but the constant and ignorant remarks are getting old. The only thing I know, is when the Saints beat your team this year, you will have zero excuses. The first and last think I will ever tell bandwagon hater is one big WHOOOO DAAAAAAAAAAT!?

Posters want them to shut up. But every press conference is nothing but questions regarding it. Any source in NOLA makes a comment, the press goes out of their way to spin it.

Watching that OTL feature on Loomis, they reported as if it had factually happened, period. Yes, they snuck a lot of alledgedlys in there, but the fact is they slandered Loomis without an ounce of proof.

I hope the Saints horribly crush every opponent this year, and I hope there is a record number of cart offs with proof of no bounty system. What are you all gonna say then?

Instead of saying they never taught players to injure when Williams clearly did give that instruction, Vitt should just say, “Move on.” Next time they bring it up, “Move on.” After five more “Move ons,” end the session and leave. If he does that every day, at some point they’ll find a new question.

Yeah, the Saints deserved their suspensions, but now Vitt has a job to do and he needs to stop letting these baboons keep him wallowing in the mud.
