Dolphins G.M. Jeff Ireland paid a return visit on Monday to PFT Live. Though the most newsworthy portion of the conversation came from Ireland’s response to our report that owner Stephen Ross is pushing for quarterback Ryan Tannehill with the eighth pick in the draft, Ireland touched on many other topics.
The subjects included talk about the draft, the decision to dump defensive end Philip Merling, Ireland’s past hits and misses on draft day, whether a desire to sell tickets is influencing football decisions, Reggie Bush’s role in the new coaching regime, and whether the team will be competitive in 2012.
I could go on, but it would be easier to just listen to the interview.
So get out your headphones and get cracking. If the boss asks what you’re doing, just say that you’re eavesdropping on key employees from one of your competitors.

I just went back and searched nfl QB’s all the way back to 2002. Other than 2004 most years there were NO FRANCHISE QB’s some years it was only 1. At what point is everyone going to figure this out?
Good interview….cant wait for Thursday!
