Not buying the Bucs moves at all. They trade back for an additional 4th rounder and then miss out on 2 of their biggest needs (Claiborne & TRich) to take a safety? Then trade back up for an inferior RB? Odd.
==============

Martin might be the best RB to come out in this draft...Schiano coached Ray Rice, and Martin's blitz pick up, drive, quicks and cutback ability are similar...the guy that has the pressure is really Josh Freeman, who regressed last year.

@ebbycalvinlaloosh

Keep drinking that kool-aid.

Elway and Co got fleeced by the Bucs.

Basically the Broncos asked if the Bucs could break a $10 and the Bucs gave them 8 $1's.

It was a bad trade. Instead of drafting the best talent when it's there, they trade back into the fourth round multiple times.

If they have to use one or more of those fourth rounders to move up in the second, it makes moving back from the first useless.

The Broncos claim they won't reach on a player, but trading back like this is just fancy reaching.

If Manning, Thomas, Decker, McGahee, Kuper, or Dumervil gets hurt Denver is screwed.

Also, Joe Mays is still the starting MLB, he is awful.

The Broncos are praying that they avoid injuries this year, and just pick up some DTs to fill the void.

Fancy reaching.

--------------------------------------------------------
Safety was a bigger need on the team than anything. Who did the Bucs have? CB Barber moving to the spot, and Grimm? Wow! Yay.

We do have Biggers, who isn't all that bad, and Talib... no one knows for sure if he's going to be suspended.

I watched some video highlights on Barron, he reminds me on Lynch and Polomalu. I think he'll be great for the Team.

And then taken the 2nd best RB in the draft. Good job Tampa.

Moving down was the right move for the Broncos. The players they most needed, and hoped would slip, we're all gone (Gilmore, Kirkpatrick, Cox, Brockers, Poe, Barron and DeCastro). So they were left with Kendall Reyes, Doug Martin, and Jerel Worthy, among others, who they didn't feel represented good value at the end of the first. When that happens, smart teams move down and get more picks. Now that they've moved back, Reyes and Worthy are still available, as are Lamar Miller, Trumaine Johnson, Brandon Boykin, Josh Robinson... All of those guys represent better value in the 2nd round than the first, and they all fill big needs.

Courtney Upshaw would also be a great pick - better than Dumervil against the run and better than Ayers against the pass. Cordy Glenn would be a big upgrade over Beadles on the o-line as well. Then there's Stephen Hill who would give Manning more toys to play with. They have a lot of options at #4 tonight. They will very likely end up with one of the players they would've considered at #25 anyway, and added a pick at the top of the 4th in the process.

Elway is doing a remarkable job.

They didn't even have a 4th round pick, Ron Cooper was Claibourne's coach at LSU and he must have known enough not to want claibourne.. They got the best safety who loves to hit and can cover TE and a very good running back who blocks and catches out of the back field. Only 1 RB taking in the fisrt 20 picks has been to a Superbowl in the last 10 years so with 2 first rounders and a free 4th round pick the Bucs had a great first round.. Giants were going to take Martin so Bucs moved up 6 spots by trading back a few spots in the 4th which pick we didn't have going into the draft... Very smart moves by the GM...

If you are even a glimmer of a Broncos fan, you will NEVER compare ANYTHING about John Freaking Elway to Josh Puke McDaniels EVER again!!! That statement is idiotic. McDaniels handed our franchise its worst season in history. John Elway brought it back in a year, drafted the DROY, & added the biggest free agent in NFL history. Quit being such an impatient tool bag, and sit back and watch. They know what they are doing.

You obviously have something buried in Elway to so blindly follow. It's also obvious you know little about football.
They have an aged QB and are in WIN NOW mode. They need players who can contribute NOW, not three years from now. Trading back is wasting Peyton's time now. They should of been trading up not back. Elway pulled a definite McDaniel's move here. Take your orange colored glasses of and see the truth.
