The Tennessee Titans have added a playmaker in their passing game.
With the 20th pick in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft, the Tennessee Titans have selected Kendall Wright, a wide receiver from Baylor who was the top receiver of Robert Griffin III last season. Wright had a very productive 2011 season at Baylor, catching 108 passes for 1,663 yards and 14 touchdowns, and he should make a significant impact in the Titans’ passing game as a rookie.
There were some questions about Wright coming out of the Scouting Combine, when he ran a slower than expected 40-yard dash time. But the tape shows that Wright has speed when he’s in pads even if he ran a slow 40 in shorts, and his solid Pro Day showing solidified his status as a first-round pick.
Now the Titans have given their quarterback -- either Matt Hasselbeck or Jake Locker -- a good weapon in the passing game. Wright is a good addition to the Titans’ offense.
