So I’m surrounded by Skins fans. It is almost disturbing- practically scary- how much emotional investment the fans here are putting into RG3.

I have a few friends who are Redskins out-and-out fanatics who are already jumping up and down, claiming everything from an imminent Super Bowl appearance to “He’ll be the best player to have ever worn the uniform” to “I’m taking my work vacation during the playoffs so I can go see the Redskins win.”

Easy, dudes. Have a little perspective and humbleness. All this “we’ve got it in the bag” behavior is just gonna make it hurt worse when you guys don’t go 16-0 and win the Super Bowl (as seems to be the expectation around here.) Not to mention that the sudden chest beating by fans of a perennially bad team just makes you look stupid (see Lions fans.)

How about just being happy that the guy had a good college career and being optimistic, but not ridiculously overblown expectations of the guy?
