APAfter trading out of the first round, the Broncos have devoted their first pick of the Peyton Manning to a guy who’ll never catch a pass from him.
The Broncos have selected defensive tackle Derek Wolfe, from the University of Cincinnati.
Mel Kiper said he had a late first-round grade on Wolfe, who didn’t get much attention in the pre-draft discussion. Mike Mayock had Wolfe listed as the 27th best remaining player entering round two.

If you don’t know this kid don’t open your mouth living in Cincinnati watching this kid he will bring it every down every week lunch pail kid.
NFL.com has him rated 47.5/100. All the other players taken in the second round so far have been 80+. Seems pretty odd…
The kid deserves a fair chance, but it seems to me they could have gotten him at 57.
Reminds me of the Orlando Franklin pick last year and that worked out ok.
Saw every game of his college career. You got good value. Decent ceiling, high floor. Good motor. Not a highlight reel guy, but never takes a play off.
