After trading out of the first round, the Broncos have devoted their first pick of the Peyton Manning to a guy who’ll never catch a pass from him.
The Broncos have selected defensive tackle Derek Wolfe, from the University of Cincinnati.
Mel Kiper said he had a late first-round grade on Wolfe, who didn’t get much attention in the pre-draft discussion. Mike Mayock had Wolfe listed as the 27th best remaining player entering round two.
