Like I’ve said a ton on here…when Coughlin gets a wr, he knows what he’s doing…when he lets them leave…he knows what he’s doing. I wish he HAD gotten fired a couple years back because I would have loved it if he could have come to the Pats and helped develop WRs for them. Heaven knows, they can’t do it. Only 2 of BB’s drafted ones were ever good for them: Branch & Givens.

Not so much. Randle shouldn’t have dropped to pick 63, this pick had nothing to do with Reese, the Giants just got very lucky. Although I’ve hated the Giants since before I could walk, it’s impossible to deny that Jerry Reese is a very good GM. That being said, give credit when and where credit is due. This wasn’t amazing Draft management by Reese it was a 6’4″ play-making present dropped right into his lap. If you want to praise Reese, give him a pat on the back for successes like Victor Cruz, Manningham in the fourth round, and Jason Pierre-Paul. Don’t anoint him the greatest GM of all time for having Amukamara, Austin, and Randle gift-wrapped and left on his doorstep.

Manningham made his name by facing the worst (number 3) corner on each team while coaches like Bellicek shut down Nix and Cruz. He’ll see a different set of circumstances in San Francisco and if he rises to the occasion the God bless him. I’ve got no problem with the young man.
