Janoris Jenkins rejects Pacman comparison

If his first media tour as a member of the NFL is any indication of his pro career, Rams cornerback Janoris Jenkins will become a quote machine to rival the likes of Charles Barkley.

In the same SiriusXM Radio interview in which Jenkins said teams who passed on him are “gonna pay,” Jenkins addressed the immediate comparisons that were made between him and the last troubled defensive back drafted by Jeff Fisher, Adam “Pacman” Jones.

Asked by Adam Schein if Fisher possibly was interested in Jenkins because of similarities to Pacman, Jenkins scoffed.

“I mean, no, because I never shot up a strip club or nothing like that,” Jenkins said.

This guy is gonna be great for business.

Neither did Pacman Jones, until he got NFL money that is.

I like this guy already… Don’t want him on my team, but I like this guy.

Looking forward to tons of quotes, as well as off the field problems with this guy. Whats the best situation for a guy with lots of off-the-field questions? Yeah, pair him up with Corteland Finnegan. GREAT mentor! LOL

    Honestly, its a perfect comparison.

Me neither, Janorice Jenkins. Me neither.

Janoris Jenkins and Morris Clairborne…both DB who played at SEC schools….both seem to have IQs of 5. Must be quality educations these guys got down in the SEC haha.

  13. iberiasaint says: Apr 27, 2012 10:02 PM

Quote: “It’s weird because I had those kids while I was playing college football and it didn’t affect me not once,” Jenkins said. “I’m proud to have my four kids. If they want to throw that in my face, so be it. Everybody has kids. Where in the book do it say you can’t have kids? It doesn’t say that in the law. I’m a great father. I’m there whenever they need me.”

  14. eaglesfan94 says: Apr 27, 2012 10:05 PM

LOL. I’m glad he came off the board before the Eagles second round choice, since I heard they were high on him (no pun intended).

  15. thebigkahuna23 says: Apr 27, 2012 10:06 PM

I was really hoping he would get drafted by the cowboys to be Claiborne’s playmate. This will do though.

  16. topcide says: Apr 27, 2012 10:14 PM

it’s tough to shoot the strip club up when you are banging strippers raw dog style left and right in the VIP room.

  17. kegowhisky says: Apr 27, 2012 10:19 PM

In other news, Pacman rejects his comparison to Janoris Jenkins, saying “I could never do things like Jenkins. I only shoot up nightclubs.”

  18. joy7283 says: Apr 27, 2012 10:22 PM

You can’t teach his kind of stupid, you gotta be born with it. Exhibit number 1 – Jenkins.

  21. mojosmagic says: Apr 27, 2012 11:33 PM

Jeff Fisher is an idiot. Those who repeat their mistakes are doomed to failure. Nice choice for the D coordinator job as well. BOZO.

  22. jacksonvillejags4life says: Apr 27, 2012 11:36 PM

What are the odds this idiot is bankrupt less than three years after he retires from the NFL? However, In the meantime I’m sure he’ll keep the St. Louis Police department busy. He’s also going to stimulate St. Louis’s economy with all the weed he’s going to buy!

  23. rcali says: Apr 27, 2012 11:37 PM

Fisher and Jenkins, just so perfect together.

    Vikequeefs?

Not a fan of Minnesota, but if I were…I’d be laughing at anyone lame enough to make that up.

Am I missing something or is this guy guilty of something other than smoking pot? Dweebs on this board are making him out to be a criminal (probably because he’s black)…he smokes weed and is probably pretty dumb, don’t label him a criminal. As for having out of wedlock kids, he’s not the first, nor will he be the last college athlete to knock up a multiple girls. When the camera was on him during the draft, he was holding his baby in his arms. He’s at least in the life of one kid, which is better than most of these guys who get drafted every year. I wouldn’t have used a 2nd round pick on him but give the guy a chance.

  31. LJA says: Apr 28, 2012 12:46 AM

Pacman never shot up the strip club, it was the scrip club, son.

  32. dawglb says: Apr 28, 2012 1:04 AM

Precisely what is wrong with our society. Rewarding a person like this only reinforces (with the youth of America), that you can f-up intentionally, multiple times and still get what you want in life. Just so wrong.

  33. dawglb says: Apr 28, 2012 1:26 AM

    I bet this guy votes.

  34. kungfubillysims says: Apr 28, 2012 2:02 AM

one of the best quotes i’ve read in years. he is going to be a beast and he is going to make a lot of teams pay for passing on him

  35. lionsdetroitcom says: Apr 28, 2012 2:24 AM

I hope he keeps his nose clean, but he has a BAD track record. Good value, no GREAT value if he grows up though….

  36. iseek11 says: Apr 28, 2012 3:09 AM

Definitely give this guy $$millions$$. What could happen?

Jenkins is this years Perrish Cox. First round talent with tons of flags. Denver took a flier on him in the 6th round. He promised he was a changed man. Did pretty good for awhile. Once the constant eyes were off him and he had a little success…boom. Rape trial. Waiver wire. Off to Frisco for the next chapter.

    Enter Janoris Jenkins.

And what is that supposed to mean? He’s 18 and an American citizen. He might be dumb as dirt, and maybe you don’t like it, but, jeez, the young man has every right to vote. Hundreds of thousands of dumb people vote legally in America, and that’s what makes us America, not Iran or Cuba. He might not use his vote the way you would use your vote, but that’s his right, and to mock him for that is anti-American, no matter what your political views are.

  41. mj1818 says: Apr 28, 2012 8:36 AM

Dmq13 I have to agree however it just goes to show how much winning is placed above all. Hopefully he gets his act straight because he won’t make it in the real world if he doesn’t make it in the NFL.

  42. kingpel says: Apr 28, 2012 8:46 AM

….and in related news, the Ram’s public relations guy just quit.

  43. krank00 says: Apr 28, 2012 9:28 AM

Meanwhile the crime rate, illiteracy rate and fatherless child numbers all just went up in St. Louis.

A great addition to the community.

You would thing that Pacman would have taught Fischer a lesson.

  44. gavriloprincip33 says: Apr 28, 2012 10:51 AM

Only time will tell whether past is prologue for this guy…

I have seen people make radical shifts in behavior but if I had to bet today, I would go with arrest, NFL suspension and bankruptcy…

Um…yeah you missed something. He IS a criminal because his favorite activity IS a crime, therefore by simple definition he IS a criminal.
Nice try on the racebaiting, but stupidity is colorblind.
He’s really setting a good example for the 1 out of his 4 kids he was actually spending a little time with. I’m not sure, but I think the message was something like: “go out & screw up all you want because someone (like gobills716) will always be dumb enough to give you a pass & defend your illegal actions because you’re black”.
Jenkins has already had a 2nd chance-he did the same dumb things at 2 different schools, & with (at least) 3 different women.
If you truly wish to treat this man with respect as I do, you should have the same expectations of him & hold him accountable for his actions regardless of his color, because his race SHOULDN’T mean anything more to you than it does to anyone else.
