So if a team goes 13-3, but doesn’t face any quality teams, that makes them more deserving to be in the playoffs, or more deserving to be the champion?

Instead, the Giants came back from loses during the season, to win when it mattered.

They deserve to be standing on top of the podium just as much as any other team.

BS. The Giants were twice the luckiest, most improbable, least deserving SB champs ever. Both years they won, they pretty much sucked before going on an unlikely run.

They shouldn’t have even made the playoffs & the NFCG was absolutely handed to them, and they had the good fortune of playing a team that was distracted by a tragedy in the divisional round.

It seems like they had a fine draft but they just weren’t that good last year.

Moron. Being the best in the NFL isn’t about winning in the regular season. It’s about having the most depth/talent and being able to manage the ebbs and flows of a 22 week season. Every team has problems matching up to at least one other team. Being the best is about having the best depth/talent/and gameplan to be able to have the best matchups against the most teams.

So the Saints beat the Giants in week 12. BFD. That doesn’t make them the best team. That’s the same line of thinking that suggests the Broncos must have been the best in the NFL in 2009 because they started off 6-0.

Every team in the league knows the schedule going into the season. They know they have 16 regular season games to make the playoffs. They know they have to win 3 or 4 games to win the Super Bowl. They build their teams accordingly.

Sometimes in the regular season teams play differently than in the playoffs when it’s d0-or-die. They rest players who are questionable with injuries when they otherwise wouldn’t if their season was on the line in the playoffs. Sometimes teams and players start off hot and then cool down noticeable by the end of the year because teams learn how to gameplan against them after watching the tape. That’s part of the game and every player/team knows it.

So quit your whining about the Giants being lucky or not really being the best team, and just sit back and choke on the fact that they’ve been the best team of the last quarter century (4 Super Bowl wins in the last 25 years – more than any other franchise)

Perhaps you are confusing the word “luck” with “playing.”

I spent years watching the Eagles and Randall Cunningham get lucky against the Giants (Down at the 5 yard line anyone? Carl Banks Doesn’t wrap RC up?) so don’t cry about being lucky. The Eagles had their chances and couldn’t manage to capitalize.

The Giants have a better D-Line, Better Receivers and, of course, a better QB than the Eagles. Maybe that changes this year, but it was clearly true this year.

What does it all mean?

It means that there are still a whole lot of bitter losers out there who are still crying themselves to sleep over a game that took place close to 3 months ago. Giants are the Champs. Your team is beneath them. Choke on it.

Props to the giants for winning the SB…..but “the best team just got better”. Is BS. Eagles were 5-1 in the division and 9-1 vs the giants in the last 10 meetings. Eagles will win the division this year. And hopefully they get hot at the end when it matters. #bleedgreenforlife

Regardless of if you holes believe they are the best or worst team around, they are the champs. Recognize.

You can’t win a Super Bowl without a little luck. The Giants won, and they should be celebrated for doing so.
