Former basketball player Dale Moss among Packers UDFAs

Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel has caught wind of the Packers’ undrafted rookie signings, and Silverstein put them in a blog post as follows:

Virginia Tech center/guard Jaymes Brooks, South Dakota State receiver Dale Moss (pictured), West Virginia tackle/guard Don Barclay, Vanderbilt safety Sean Richardson, Winston Salem State running back Nic Cooper, Tulane defensive end Dezman Moses, Southern Utah cornerback Dion Turner, USC running back Marc Tyler, Michigan Tech defensive end Drew Vanderlin, Minnesota tight end Eric Lair, San Diego State guard Tommie Draheim, Minnesota running back Duane Bennett, Wake Forest tight end Cameron Ford, and Buffalo receiver Marcus Rivers.

It has been reported that the Packers will convert Richardson, a Combine standout and workout freak, into a linebacker.

Moss, the South Dakota State receiver, will be a player to follow in Packers camp. A four-year basketball player for the Jackrabbits, Moss used his extra year of eligibility to play football. He wound up leading South Dakota State in catches, yards, and touchdowns in 2011.

Moss stands 6-foot-3, 213 and ran a 4.52 at the South Dakota Pro Day. More impressive were Moss’ explosive, 10-foot-10 broad jump, 41 1/2-inch vertical, and 4.13 short shuttle. He is an exceptional athlete.
