The Houston Texans have reached contract agreements with 21 undrafted rookies, per John McClain of the Houston Chronicle. Here they are:
TCU tight end Logan Brock, James Madison linebacker D.J. Bryant, BYU defensive tackle Loni Fangupo, Illinois fullback Jason Ford, William & Mary running back Jonathan Grimes, Houston defensive end David Hunter, Missouri receiver Jerrell Jackson, Bowie State linebacker Dalano Johnson, North Carolina receiver Dwight Jones (pictured), Houston quarterback Case Keenum, Grambling receiver Mario Louis, Merrimack linebacker Shawn Loiseau, Toledo safety Desmond Marrow, Maryland running back Davin Meggett, Mary Hardin-Baylor tackle Nate Menkin, Clemson defensive end Rennie Moore, Oregon safety Eddie Pleasant, Baylor defensive end Tracy Robertson, Ouachita Baptist tight end Phillip Supernaw, Illinois State guard Cody White, Pittsburgh linebacker Greg Williams.
Alongside Keenum, the most notable Texans undrafted rookie addition is Jones, the North Carolina wideout. Highly productive in college and a second-team All-ACC selection as a senior, Jones finished his career with 152 receptions for 2,163 yards and 16 touchdown catches.
Jones, who goes 6-foot-3 and 226 pounds, was a top-25 recruit coming out of high school in 2007, rated ahead of NFL players such as Arrelious Benn and Dez Bryant. Character and work ethic concerns ultimately knocked Jones out of the draft.
