The Saints were missing some draft picks this year, thanks to the trade that brought the Mark Ingram and the bounty punishment.

They compensated in part by signing a whopping 18 undrafted free agents.

They are: LB Kadarron Anderson (Furman), LB Stephen Johnson (Temple); LB Aaron Tevis (Boise State); WR Malcolm Beyah (Middle Tennessee State); WR Chris Givens (Miami of Ohio); WR Kevin Hardy (Citadel); DE Braylon Broughton (TCU), DE/DT Tyrunn Walker (Tulsa), TE Jake Byrne (Wisconsin), RB Travaris Cadet (Appalachian State), DB A.J. Davis (Jacksonville State); C Brian Folkerts (Washburn); S Jose Gumbs (Monmouth); S Jerico Nelson (Arkansas); S Johnny Thomas (Oklahoma State); T Dan Hoch (Missouri); T Aderious Simmons (Arizona State); and KR Laron Scott (Georgia Southern).

The Saints, who drafted players from Regina and Samford, continued with the small-school vibe by signing guys from Furman, Middle Tennessee State, Miami of Ohio, Jacksonville State, Washburn, Monmouth, and Georgia Southern.
