Stevie Johnson back on Twitter shortly after successful surgery

Stevie Johnson AP

A little thing like groin surgery isn’t enough to keep Bills receiver Stevie Johnson from interacting with the fans.

Johnson tweeted early this morning that he was about to go into surgery, and then tweeted this afternoon that the surgery was successful, including with his tweet a picture of himself apparently emerging from anesthesia.

Johnson called his surgery successful and says he’s now in “recovery mode.”

Although Johnson started all 16 games for the Bills last season, he was listed on the injury report with a groin injury several times, and he aggravated the injury in December. He’s expected to make a quick recovery from surgery and be good to go for most of the Bills’ offseason work.

He should get some surgery for his hands too. I swear he drops so many passes for a supposed #1 WR.

Stevie’s tweets were much more high pitched than they were before the surgery.

Would you rather recover from surgery on your employers time or your vacation time?

Groins are typically healed with rest. They obviously tried that first then resulted to plan B given the short recovery time. Not that complicated.

LOL, the picture shows Steve like he usually looks. Lending some credence to his critics claims that he must be on drugs all the time.

I hope they installed a pair. Maybe now he’ll act like a big boy.

Does Stevie really feel the need to send out a tweet while in the hospital bed? He couldn’t wait until tomorrow to tell the 6 billion people around the world who were anxiously awaiting confirmation of a successful surgery? I’m a Bills fan and I could care less, just be ready for camp kid.

Glad to hear it went well Stevie! Get better! We need you to make Revis look like a chump.

It’s also possible that Stevie waited because his wife just recently had their 3rd child. I don’t think you’d want to be recovering from surgery AND have a newborn.
