I can tell you most people in Houston hate Bud Adams with all their heart, doesn't have anything to do with still living here. Of course it has to do with him moving the Oliers to Memphis (Nashvile was later). Funny thing is Bud Adams has done a lot for his home town of Houston and given a lot to charities in Houston. He was also screwed by the Mayor and Astros owner before (and why) he left but thats another story and people don't care about any of that.

You had some Olier fans that became fans of the Titans until the Texans came along, some that just stayed Titans fans, and some that never where Titans fans. I think the ones that never became Titans fans or did but then switched back to Texans fans like to think of the Titans as their bigest rival.

So in a nutshell that is why some Texans fans hate the Titans, myself I hate all 3 of the other AFC South teams we play against, and the Steelers (see thats the Oiler fan coming out in me). But I wish Diles the best of luck, he is a nice guy who could just never put it all together either because of injuries or better players in front of him.

Funny, Tx526 . . . Titans fans don’t hate the Texans. (Heck, many of us were even pulling for your guys in the playoffs last year.) However, I’ve been getting the impression for quite some time now that Texans’ fans often have a deep dislike for the Titans. Is this the Bud Adams’ effect? (Having our controversial owner live in your city?) Or is it perhaps residual from having your original team (Oilers) leave Houston for Nashville?

i would say its not personal against tennessee fans in general, but yeah the owner and the way he left houston..he should have left the oilers name and records behind and maybe it wouldnt be so bad.. think about it,lets say the titans moved back to houston and tenn got an expansion team...would u still like the titans/oilers? wouldnt you have a dislike for the team? its only natural for houston football fans to hate the titans franchise..
bud adams showed no class when he left houston..houston paid to have the astrodome renovated and then 5 years later holds the city hostage for a new stadium..if he would have went about it the right way his team would be playing in a state of the art stadium like reliant in houston which is leaps and bounds better than the stadium in nashville that he left houston for.. its karma on his part because he lives in houston and has to see that new texans stadium in houston all the time and think of what could have been.
