Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders is facing a new complaint of criminal mischief as police continue to investigate an altercation with his ex-wife.

The Associated Press reports that police in the Dallas suburb of Prosper, Texas, filed a new complaint with the Collin County District Attorney’s Office accusing Sanders of criminal mischief. Sanders has not been arrested.

Last week Sanders wrote on Twitter that his estranged wife, Pilar Sanders, had attacked him. She was later arrested for assault. Pilar’s lawyer called that incident “a complete setup.”

Deion Sanders was cited for simple assault a day later, and a witness said Deion, not Pilar, appeared to be the aggressor.

Deion and Pilar are fighting for custody of their three children. A lawyer appointed to look out for the interests of the children said they are struggling in school, need counseling and “live in a combat zone.”
