I give it about a 51% pass, and 49% fail probability. I’ve followed this story from day one, and the electronic pull tab portion of the bill is very, very tricky. I believe that will be the deciding factor on this issue. I honestly don’t think the Republicans will vote in favor of the stadium bill because of that issue mainly.

Now where have I heard this one before…. oh wait, they said this exact same thing before last weekend too, and nothing happened due to petty politics.

And @Carl – if the Vikings did move (they won’t), most of us would sooner become anti-Packer fans. Rooting against each team that plays them every week that’d we’d likely start seeing on TV. I know I would.

ANY final bill (A, B, or Z) that would require a contribution by the City of Minneapolis over 10 Million CLEARLY AND UNAMBIGUOUSLY requires a City Referendum.

ANY final bill (A, B, or Z) that would try to deprive those residents of that right would be challenged in court within 10 minutes of the Governor signing it.

This thing is a long long long way from being over.

From the Star Tribune: House Speaker Kurt Zellers said that they will take the vote even though he doesn’t know that the plan — which would use gambling revenue to pay for the state’s share — will pass and he personally “cannot” support it.

“It’s going to come to a vote,” Zellers said. “It’s now in the governor’s hands.”

See why this is a mess? No one wants to be holding that empty money bag when this finally goes down.
