Listen to all of these Jets fans in here. Why they sound like Saints fans. Funny, but while the Saints were being SLAMMED to the ground, these very same fans of the Jets were calling them liars and cheats and anything else they could think of. NOW that it’s THEIR team, they are whining about “it’s not the same thing because it now involves my team the Jets”. Well, FACE it yellow back fans of the Jets, your team is JUST as guilty as the Saints are. Don’t let that get you down though because ALL teams are just as guilty.

Interesting Take’

I do not know whether or not Coach Ryan should be punished for his views but I would disagree with him.

Why would a Coach want his team to knock opposing players out of the game?

What is the purpose of competition?

To compete.

Why would anyone want to win by hurting another player or players on an opposing team?

Seems to me athletes should want to beat the best opponents, thereby showing their greatness.

By hurting or dotting players all you are doing is trying to beat the rules….

Football should not be about that…

I mean there’s sort of a reach there but who’s to say that the player doing the “dotting” didn’t get a contract extension the following year? Every team has their “role” players. Possibly “dotting” could be a role? This is the bad thing about these scandals is that they’ll remain as such. There’s no hearings, there’s no evidence being presented. We don’t know what actually went or goes on in locker rooms. Maybe everyone should just get off their backs and let em play football. The eye in the sky don’t lie and if there’s an illegal hit then it should be flagged. Otherwise there’s no evidence of players purposely trying to hurt other players.

Ryan meant hurting another player. Period. But I don’t have a problem with that because this is football. And that’s what’s been going on in the game since it’s inception. Just like I don’t have a problem with the Saints either. This is a non story.

All defensive players want to put opposing offensive players out of the game with a hard, clean, legal hit.

There was absolutely NO DIFFERENCE between Ryan and Williams. At the end of the Williams 12 minute rant were instructions that said of course these targets should be legally taken out. Exactly what Ryan said in his book.

The can of worms that Goodell opened will result in the changing of the game.

The saying: “kill the head and the body will die” is one that is not new. If you hit the quarterback/key player hard and clean, it could have an effect on his game. What Ryan was saying is the same vein. I have no problem with any of it. Where Williams went wrong was his specific reference to the ACL. What the patriots did was worse anyway…

First, is anyone really surprised that Rex Ryan’s ability to shoot his mouth (pen) off might get him in trouble again? It’s almost like the owner had them recruit Tebow just to drown out the media attention that Rex gets from shooting his mouth off (and Sanchez gets from well…just Sanchezing it up.)

Second, in 2009, the Saints beat the Colts fair and square.
Opposing teams against the Saints had ZERO cart-offs in 2009.

Their D was great that year because Darren Sharper and co had a ridiculous amount of interceptions.

In other words, the Superbowl is legit. Don’t be bitter Vikings fans. Or fans of other teams. There were no “cart offs” in 2009 keeping your teams down, the Saints just ruled the field that year.

I was waiting for Rex to be brought up when this whole Saints scandel came out. Every team has rivals and they like to knock each other hard. That’s what Rex is basically saying. He is not saying hay I want u to get Brady in the head and ill give u ten grand. Or break welkers legs and ill give u twenty grand. That’s what the saints did. They had a whole point system set up so u knew how much money u get per hit u give. Rex doesn’t state that at all in his book. And if Rex did do this stuff it would of came out already cause Rex is the only coach under the most spotlight. Rex would probably tell the truth if he did cause he doesn’t care. Also I hard how some people still bring up his wifes feet all the time no matter what the story is about. I’m a married man and I give my wife foot massages. I have been given ladies messages since high school. There is no shame in that. Rex knows how to get some. So obviously the guys written about how Rex and his wifes feet are probably virgins but maybe some day u will figure it out.
