The Bears usually lead the way when it comes to signing rookie draft picks. They were first to the party this year with receiver Alshon Jeffrey, a second-round pick. They now have signed their second drafted rookie.
The team announced that seventh-round cornerback/kick returner Greg McCoy has been signed to a four-year contract.
McCoy started 39 games at TCU, and he also served as a kickoff returner -- a skill that has become largely irrelevant in the new, safety-conscious NFL.
To the chagrin of Devin Hester.
