Clearly not a pro actor.. but he was good enough and funnier than I thought he’d be.
Well on ya Eli.

And to all of you that make this a Giants v whomever issue.. seriously, grow up. I realize football is probably the only thing many of you have that brighten up your lives (sadly), to say he stinks just because you’re not a fan of his team makes you rather small and pathetic.

I’m a Bears fan, so I can care less. Just happy to see he’s not as dry as he so often appears.

Loved the show.

I was hoping that when they asked Eli if the banana picture was accurate and he said no, that when they asked him he just said, “the color”.

I think they missed a real opportunity there. It reminded me of Eli’s early days when he would under throw the short pass.

Somehow, no one would be laughing if the Giants threw bananas at a black player. Eli did a good job. @dirtierwater, the United Way skit is called SPOOF. You know, for humor. Guess that skit went over your head.

I didnt think Eli was all that good but i have to give him a ton of credit..I dont think Ive ever seen a guest host do almost all of the skits in an SNL…but IMO Kenan Thompson stole the thunder in the madden bit playng Ray Lewis…”I aint wearing those funky a$$ pajamas”..lmao

As an Eagles fan, I am ashamed to admit that I enjoyed watching Eli on SNL. He did a great job.

The scene where he pretended to throw the grenade did it for me.

True, but he’s usually tucked inside a helmet. And when the helmet is off, he typically reveals a narrow range of facial expressions.

Its easy to root for a guy who is all class. And this article shows the Giants are a team and have each others backs, the way it should be.

Its good to be a New York Giant.

i’m as sick of ‘media Tebow’ as anyone but i’d be interested to see him on SNL. would he just go with it and have fun like (amazingly to me) the Mannings do? or would he try to use it as a platform to “spread his message”? (anyway, SNL has sucked for years so a Tebow appearance wouldn’t exactly be ruining anything worth watching…)

i actually like Tebow but, if he went on SNL with his dicky christian act, it might be the final push needed for him to jump the shark in many observers eyes.

given that he’s the Jets QB now and SNL is ‘live from New York’, i’d be kind of surprised if NBC didn’t jump on that opportunity at some point…
