The Detroit Lions are on the board with the first signing among their eight draft picks.

Travis Lewis, a seventh-round linebacker from Oklahoma, has agreed to a four-year, $2.16 million deal.

“I told my agent, ‘Let’s get it done, so [I can] come in, hit the ground running and not have to worry about anything,'” Lewis told the Detroit Free Press. “It was pain-free. My agent handled all of it, and it was a relief just getting drafted, especially to the Lions. Just happy to sign an NFL contract and get paid to do something that I love.”

Lewis was a four-year starter at Oklahoma and led the team in tackles all four seasons.
