Now if only DA can get the refs to agree, he might be onto something. Otherwise, it’s an effort in futility…the league has always had it in for the Raiders because of Al’s litigation.

I hope someday the refs and the league office will actually give the Raiders a level playing field. They have had to not only beat the opponent, they have also had to overcome the yardage given up thanks to all those BS calls over the years.

When the RAIDERS were winning Superbowls they were the most penalized. It is more glaring when you lose football AND have the most penalties. Those who watch RAIDERS football know about the “phantom” calls. Since the RAIDERS are consistently penalized, the zebras are more apt to throw the flag against the RAIDERS. It’s part of being a RAIDERS fan. That, and listening to haters whine..

And by week 8 he’ll be thinking it will never stop because 1/3rd of them get called on no other team on any kind of regular basis.

Unless the league has some love for Mark Davis the Raiders will always be in the top 5 most penalties.

Every Raider coach says the same thing, and it never changes. But with Davis gone, Allen has a chance to get it corrected. Considering what went on last season, with that leaky defense, the penalties, Davis’ death, and injuries, it’s remarkable that Oakland won half their games. Or it would be, if the rest of the AFC West didn’t suck so much. Talking to you, humb0lt.

Everybody who is hating on the Raiders doesnt know a whole lot about what has been going on here this off-season. Dennis Allen & Reggie McKenzie are sticklers, disciplinarians, they wont stand for the penalty issue to continue. Plus a couple of their biggest penalty bugs have been let go anyway in Stanford Routt & Kam Wimbley. I expect our penalties to be nearly cut in half. Also, our new defensive scheme alone will cut down in penalties because it wont continually place our players in desperation situations , such as P.I / Holding or TD

I’d be a little concerned if he said “we’re not going to cut down on penalties”.. like we’re trying to beat the record we just set or something.

That was because Al Davis didn’t care about the penalties; thus Hue Jackson openly stating that the penalties were a problem AFTER Davis had died.
