All I said is the guy is short, which is undeniably true. He is short for a football player, short for a running back, short for a 1st round pick and short as a regular American.

Modell#ucker says this guy is a protypical running back which is wrong. Emmitt Smith and Barry Sanders while 5'9" also weighed about 205. They are the prototypical short running backs. Meanwhile 230 pound running backs are about 6'1" or 6'2". Just because Cleveland drafted a 5'9" 230 lb running back does not make him the prototype their dopey fans want him to be.

I put the over/under on when this meatball is going to pull a hamstring at about Aug. 20th and I'm taking the under. The little power back will then be worthless. I know this because Cleveland drafted him ...Tim Couch...Mike Mad Dog in a Meat Market Junkin...Touchdown Tommy Vardell....Brady Quinn...

As for the 5'9 height:

Emmitt Smith, MJD, Barry Sanders, etc. Low center of gravity is a PLUS.

A little short on third down? Time to punt Cleveland, again.

5'9" 228 is prototypical size for a running back, and that 475 lb. bench press doesn't hurt, either.

Some of you are ridiculously dumb. For one, if you read the whole statement he made about a slippery jersey you'd understand he was kidding. Second, at 5'9" and 230# he's built like a tank(from a good source, 8% body fat). Next, whoever said he's a straight line runner only needs to watch some of his highlights. Finally, I absolutely love it when people think having divisional opponents that have strong run defenses means you shouldn't upgrade your running game. You idiots must have a lot of white flags with that attitude.

just because one can't afford to participate in fantasy football, doesn't make it 'dorky.'

i don't see it as a stat/nerd thing. i see it as gambling. my buddies and i do a weekend in vegas every year for our fantasy draft. nothing 'nerdy' going on that weekend. it's a steep entry fee with a large, winner-take-all payout and we even go high-stakes every sunday, head-to-head, to keep it interesting.

i crushed my league last year (stafford, petersen, forte, megatron, welker, gronkowski, pittsburgh, bailey) and reaped the benefits with a nice financial windfall in january.

also, it's made some of my friends who were never too interested in football (but rich and love to gamble) very interested in the game so sundays have gotten that much better for all of us.

What a shame, for both player and team. Richardson is a beast, but Cleveland needs has too many needs right now to contend. Pat Shurmur is probably not "the guy", and by the time they figure that out, and get some other critical pieces together (QB for instance), the wheels will be falling off Trent Richardson and his 35 carries per game, and they'll be right back at square one. What a waste of a draft pick, and a great player. A RB, even a great running back, cannot carry his to a division title in a pass first league, - see Adrian Peterson.

Like the Browns did in reality football, pick this guy in the top-5 in fantasy footballas well, guy is a stud period. Think AP good during his rookie year, although without a Chester Taylor to split carries with. Not many teams utilize one true workhorse anymore, well this is going to be one that does...from day one. 1,200 yrds and 10 scores is a low-end lock...

Jim Brown has a great point here. Look at the best three to five RB's in the game today and you tell me if they are Power or Agility?

Adrian Peterson -if he was a power back they wouldn't need Gerhart!

Chris Johnson - Weighs 180 pounds for Gods sake.
Jamaal Charles - The most explosive player in the game doesn't need to run anyone over.

Ray Rice - Ray is a complete back that does it all and does have a little power but he's got finesse too - don't argue with me.

Arian Foster - Not as agile as Johnson or Charles but does have some jukes. Not purely downhill likes to move laterally.

Frank Gore - Now, Frank will straight run some fools over. In my mind he's probably the closest to this kid Richardson. I don't see how he breaks Cleveland out of their shell when Peyton Hillis, beast of all beasts, could not.

Browns still don't have any wide receivers. So the opponent is going to put everybody and their mama at the line to bust up Richardson.

And when their down by two TD's, they won't be giving him the ball anymore then.

Browns just can't get it right.

Expectations should not be tempered with this guy, he will be a top 3 back by next year if not this year. The guy's got AD written all over him, I see him getting 1400 and 12 minimum as a rookie. As far as fantasy is concerned, I usually don't like taking rooks early, but I will make an exception in TRich's case.
