Getty ImagesOn Friday, Falcons rookie offensive lineman Peter Konz brought back the Dirty Bird.
On Sunday, he has another reason to dance, what with the Falcons making it rain.
Konz, a second-round pick and the 55th overall selection in the draft, has signed with the Falcons, according to D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Thanks to the Julio Jones trade, Konz was the Falcons’ first pick in 2012.
Konz will get work at guard and tackle. He’s competing to be the starting right guard, which became a weak spot for the Falcons in 2011, after Harvey Dahl left for the Rams in free agency.

Nice value pick!
The Falcons got themselves a heak of a good football player!
Peter Konz is the center of the future, displacing the savvy vet Todd McClure in 2013. It’s likely Todd’s last season as he’s in his mid 30s. I don’t think Konz will see time at tackle, just right guard & center. The ATL reached for LT Lamar Holmes in the 3rd round.
I dont care what position on the o-line as long as he helps us converts 4th & 2′s and short yardage situations with turner, rodgers, & co
Can he play QB?
