Hightower will be a good complimentary RB. This day and age, you need multiple guys that can handle the RB position.
Now, Shanahan needs to wise up and concentrate on these two guys. Get a system and stick with it. If he adds another RB or two to the mix, it’ll prevent the offense from being a cohesive unit. Linemen blocks better when they know RBs tendencies and preferences.

Hightower will be 26 when the season starts.

Helu, a rookie was the leading rusher last season.2010 was 24 year old Ryan Torrain.
2009 was 28 year old Portis..who they got rid of.
