The Titans are in the market for a veteran safety to replace Chris Hope behind starters Michael Griffin and Jordan Babineaux. According to Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean, they’ll be hosting free agents Yeremiah Bell (pictured) and Chris Crocker at club headquarters on Tuesday.
The team’s interest in Bell and Crocker, both starters last season who were cut by their former teams, suggests the Titans aren’t satisfied with rookie Markelle Martin and second-year man Robert Johnson in the third safety role. Tennessee also has Al Afalava and undrafted free agent Christian Scott on the 90-man offseason roster.
Bell, 34, and Crocker, 32, should both be willing to sign for something close to the veteran’s minimum.
