I refuse to watch any Saints game this year except the one I have to watch: 9ers/Saints. This is the first bounty article I have read or responded to in over a 2 weeks. I don’t want this upcoming season to be defined by the Saints and their bounty program. The league is better than that and so is their product. Thanks but no thanks.

No matter what people say, Goodell is great for the NFL and his ruling fits the crime. This is common reaction for a team and the guilty parties. All the no’s on here are their fans that realize the Saints time is slowly coming to an end. If this were another team, they’d be just as furious. I donated, supported efforts and prayed for the people during Katrina BUT in the end, this is a business and the brass of the Saints used a disaster to take advantage and mask how dirty they really are.

I wouldn’t expect anything less.

As far as what Hargrove and Williams signed… It was a piece of paper crafted by the NFL and in both cases the term “bounty program” was never used. It was portrayed that way in the media by the NFL. Google it.

And saying the Saints got off easy, what you’re saying is they’re guilty. If I see evidence, I’ll agree. Goodell has given no one access to this “evidence” so I’m not going to assume they are guilty because the media says so. And basically that’s all you’ve got. Goodell doesn’t owe evidence to any of us, but if a player or coach gets suspended, they have a right to see it.

Finally, here we go with the lying again. So, all of you people are okay with bounties for injuries, as long as nobody lies about it? A year suspension for lying? Really?

Again, Donte Stallworth got the same punishment for killing a human being. Google it.

And while it’s stupid for the LA legislature to put their 2 cents in, it’s not like they spent weeks deliberating. Someone drew up a resolution and put it to a vote. Everyone squealing that it’s a waste of time needs to understand that, though it is a waste of time, it’s only a waste of a tiny amount.
